I may have posted this song before, but I am posting it again because today it made me a new friend. Early this morning I received a text message from a gentleman from Sutton, London. He simply messaged to say how much he loved this song, and that he wished me much success with it. So even if the songs we write do no more than make us new friends, that in itself is priceless. I love being a songwriter! Marvin http://frettie.com/track_detail/1948

Hi Marvin:
I faintly remember this one... but it's certainly worth taking time to hear again. Great demo vocalist and an exceptional write. I pray nightly for a cure or at least something to prevent this horrible disease. I know they are making progress but this particular disease impacts it's victim and his/her entire family and friends.
We just took a trip down Brenham way to visit an old friend who asks the same questions often, smiles a great deal while putting on a brave face. Enough to make this grown man cry.
Thanks for sharing... and writing this remarkable song.
All my best,
----Dave

Hi Marvin...the demo sounds great and is obviously heartfelt. The weakpoint, I think, is the lyric. It has too much tell and not enough show. Have a listen to Ellsworth by Rascal Flatts. One other small matter...the word "squat" doesn't really belong in a song like this. Just my opinion.
