The Note That Whiskey Wrote
I took her love and played it like a game She played it for a while, till she felt the shame It cut her deep but only so many tears would flow Then she came to her senses, and let me go
I've never been the kind to feel the loss But this time my heart,is paying the cost Now my foolish pride,is drowning so fast I'll leave her these words, from my whiskey glass
The note that whiskey wrote Was for the truth to hide It said that i'll move on and that i'd survive Every word was a lie,for my heart was broke I hope she don't believe The note that whiskey wrote
Maybe i'll find the courage,to tell her the truth Maybe if she'd see me,she'd see the proof But i won't blame her,if she turns away 'Cause my words of whiskey, she still believes today
The note that whiskey wrote Was for the truth to hide It said that i'll move on and that i'd survive Every word was a lie,for my heart was broke I hope she don't believe The note that whiskey wrote

Michael,
Agree this type of tune is your strong suit, and you have some nice lines throughout. Vic already cited my favorite. Tough to tell whether some of the phrasing here or there might be a challenge as you put it to music, but, if any, you'll have a chance then to massage it here or there.
All the best,
Deej
