Finished the last track for my Bradbury project. The last two tracks on the album (Farewell Summer and October Country) are a little somber so I wanted something uptempo. Might seem like a peculiar song for a 59 year old to sing - but I'm looking back on my 19 year old self. Come and Bring Constance is here: https://youtu.be/x1SmTculXC8Lyric is below. Hope you enjoy it. Scott Come and Bring Constance (c) 2018 by SW Campbell You gotta get downtown, I kid you not They’ve roped off the Western Auto lot They got a band that’s smokin’ hot And the pig is turning They got Coors on tap and pretty girls galore It outta be enough but I’d like something more So please knock on your cousin’s door And tell her daylight’s burning Come and bring Constance (x3) Be a pal Come and bring Constance (x3) Get her here somehow On the cliff at the quarry, she’s a climbing fool Rebuilt a 55 Chevy with her own tools She knows every swimming hole From here to Andover She got a perfect score on her SATs I’ve seen her slap down guys who were being mean If there’s a cooler girl on the scene Well I don’t know her Come and bring Constance (x3) Be a pal Come and bring Constance (x3) Get her here somehow Well you can have the hair-flipping gals who style With the tattoos on their calf I prefer Constance’s crooked grin And her wicked belly laugh Come and bring Constance (x3) Be a pal Come and bring Constance Come and bring Constance You can have this party We’ll go somewhere else!

Loved every part of this Scott. The video is entertaining and the uptempo had me tapping along. No "nits" from the hot humid north.

Scott,
What a fun song, a great picture of that moment in time--I remember that feeling of hoping to see a special gal at an event. Music is perfect for this pop tune. (I know where Andover is too)! My G-Grandparents buried in a cemetery between Andover and Williamsfield--you and I probably only ones around here that know that particular geography!
Enjoyed this song, and would be curious to see that gal Constance--probably a Tomboy that couldn't disguise her natural beauty?

What a catchy and positive song. You did a great job on the arrangement, the instruments and the video. And to me, the highlight is your voice - unique tone and soulful raspiness.

What a fun tune you have here—full of hooks, warmth, and earworms. Can’t wait to check out the album because I love everything you’ve shared so far. Great lyrics, production and songwriting. And the video rocks!

LOL - I'm starting to run out of shirts. Constance is a combination of several impressive young women I knew around the time I was 18-20. No romantic connection but they clued me in to the kind of woman I was looking for (and soon found). Scott

Thanks, Pal. With a song that has such a simple chord structure, it's easier to forget about playing it right and just have fun with it. Scott

Nice!!! Thanks J&B. This is the first song that I didn't type the lyric up before singing it. Came up with the lyric in the car over a period of days - then just went home and sang it Scott

Cool song and performance. I was thinking how much work you put into that whole video. Different camera angles with three different instruments had to be a challenge. Nice job!

Not that much work - I just had to play and record it about 5 separate times. I guess there was a fair amount of splicing and dicing of audio and video tracks though. Scott

Constance must have been something. At least it sure sounds like it. She could be the next Sharona or the next Jenny, Jennyt! Not much to add to whats alreadty been said. Extremely hooky and catchy and loads of fun. Nice job Thx for sharing.
