Owen,
I enjoyed the listen. Moves nicely and has a nice "catchiness".
This had a sort of B.J. Thomas vibe to it...

Hi Owen
Really nice laid back sound. Fun chord sequences that conjure up 1960s summer hit parade songs. And your vocal contributes a lot to the to the lilt of the song.

Thanks guys! Wasn't sure how this one would go down. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment @Floyd I guess B.J.Thomas has that relaxed light pop feel. Was he a songwriter as well, or just a singer? @Mike "1960s summer hit parade" is a good description. It certainly isn't anything you would hear today (other than here, from me of course!)

Well done. The backing tracks sound great and are in the pocket with your well delivered vocal.
Nice lyric too!

Owen,
Liked this—kind of a jazzy, rock mix, with a nice hook on the “Last place I looked” line. Chill listen. Nicely done!
All the best,
Deej

I really like it. Has a Burt Bacharach feel to it for me. In fact, I can hear Dionne Warwick singing it!

A little different sound for you, Owen...I can hear Dionne doing this too. Short and sweet and nicely done!

@Scott, yes I can hear a Burt element in there now that you mention it. What a gem that man is! @Ricki definitely different! Wasn't trying for a song like this, just popped into my head. But hey, I take em all! Thanks again for taking the time to post
