Hi Everyone, I've been busy with music, although not on here as much. Rosewood Creek has been working on a new CD for a long time and it is finally released. Check out Goodbye Amelia on Amazon here.... Goodbye AmeliaMany of the songs are mine, although all four band members have written at least one song. We have hard copies available if anyone is interested, plus it is on all the download sites like iTunes, etc. We did not go with CD Baby this time as sales there have been minimal. Hope you like it! Colin

Hi Colin:
Best wishes for succes on "Goodbye Amelia." The cover artwork is enough to grab a potential listener's attention. Well done! Got to sample the first three songs... then ran out of time... but I sure liked what I heard. Sorry to hear CDBaby didn't "move much of the needle for you guys" but picking and choosing where we put our music in an ever-changing world... is almost a crap-shoot.
No matter, my friend... you guys are well-grounded, sound great and I would classify this album as Americana... but what does an old geezer like me know?
On a side note... do you include the lyrics with the album? Sometimes, I'm told, that can be the tipping point for getting fans or first-timers on board.
Thanks for sharing, congratulations... and "break-a-leg" Rosewood! You got it goiing! ----Dave

Congrats Colin! Is it on Spotify? Good call on CDBaby.. sadly it bears no resemblance to what it once was. Neither does the business that existed when it was great.

Dave, Thank you. We have nice looking packaging but the lyrics are not on the CD. You can hear most of the lyrics in the songs!

Brian, Thank you. Yes, it's on Spotify, Amazon.com, iTunes, and many other sites. We uploaded it through Distro Kid which gets it on the sites for a minimal fee. We'll just be using the physical CDs at shows and for sending to radio shows and other promos, plus giving to friends. I'll send you one before long.
Colin

Lyrics go on free lyric sites, just like everything goes to free sites.
Good luck Colin, I admire you staying in the game, even if the game has changed.

I just listened to the whole album on Spotify - that way you might earn a cent Loved it. Nice production, good vocals and harmonies, great guitar work. Oh and great songs, of course!

I admire colin, because he keeps on chuggin', doing what we all need do.....keep playing, writing, performing.....period.
He and his work is a corner stone.
Three cents.

That sounds like a loaded question. That implies there's something significant going on!

Received my copy this am and listening as I type....yup, that guitar work is classic Colin...
FYI it plays fine on my computer, but for whatever reason, my BOSE Wave unit had a hard time reading the disc....will try in my car later. Just want to enjoy it for now as I work...
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Hey Colin Thanks for the physical copy. It's a great looking album art wise. Good to see a full album when most are putting out singles. All the singles are stand alone, and yet there is a continuity in a full play through. There's not a "skip" song in the bunch. I had to have a chuckle at some of the lyrics which have been snuck in there, which may be missed on the first listen. There's some classic lines. The mix and timing switch in and out to keep the interest moving along.I don't like to compare with other artists, but it recalls The Travelling Wilburys where you can put the full album on and just groove along. It sure is a travelling road trip piece for sure. Sonically, it's spot on. Have been listening to it on Spotify, and added some tunes to my playlists. It may add a few cents to the royalties, and if a few JPF folks did the same, it will start appearing in suggested playlists. Gotta love free advertising. Best song ? Heck, that's really hard, it depends on your mood at the time. For me it's "Never Been to Colorado" , but could also be "Reeks of Rock and Roll" which just sums up every Honky Tonk joint every muso has ever played in , at least once anyway. ( preferably without chicken wire across the stage ) Anyways, it's a great album Colin, and I hope a few JPF'ers will give it a thumbs up on Spotify. If you ever get that yacht through the Panama Canal, I'll have a harbour front concert please at my joint in Tonga cheers, niteshift PS - "Magic 8-Ball" is just a classic bar song. Could be played absolutely anywhere

For anyone that is on Linkedin, please drop by and read a fuller review here ... https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6427734533235449856 Then through to Spotify and give it a few spins. And of course, leave a "like" on the Linkedin post otherwise I shall have to haul out my rowboat, come over and see you, and whip you with a road killed kangaroo ! It's a great album and worth a few spins. cheers, Geoff PS - Colin, you owe me a beer, but please don't try to fax it. It plays havoc with the electrics.
