Different sounding.
I like the way that you let the melody line go where it would...if that makes sense.
Nice song.

Enjoyed my listen. This is a bit of a departure from your usual creations... and seems more "beat driven" which will probably make it grab the ears of a younger audience. Your vocal and J&B's harmony work are always so good. Bringing that deep sounding guitar at the end of each chorus is a really nice touch and takes this into the realm of a Rock Ballad... to my untrained ears. Great work.
B-T-W... I listened without Headphones on purpose just to see how it sounds on "tinny laptop speakers" and was impressed. Now I'll go back and try the Earphones. Thanks for suggesting it.

floyd "beat man" jane never gets complacent. Janice had a blast participating on this project and we were both impressed with what he did with the country girl's vocal track. Really cool processing and the loop of her at the end was a big surprise to us!
We don't mind working outa the box every now and then but it's way above our paygrade to take on a project like this. Just to conceptualize it is one thing but then to find the "right" loops, etc., and mix them in this manner is another. I had a friend play it for his 15 year old daughter who is very musical and she gave it a great review! So mr jane has become quite cross generational or something like that!
And, if y'all haven't, play it on a good sound system and turn it to at least 11.

Floyd,
This is a cool listen—for me, kind of an 80’s sound (don’t ask me why I’m thinking of Rick Astley). Love the way you finish this one—great ending! And, as usual, strong production that helps take it to another level.
All the best,
Deej

Hey Floyd, Great piece of writing and as always such a great vocal. The whole thing worked for me, especially Janice's BV's. Definitely different from your usual works. I thought every song needs to be a love song, though? This seemed like almost an anti-love song? Joking, of course. Great stuff. Dave

Hey Floyd,
Just love this piece. It's all working, especially the production. And then taking the hook into a new realm just makes it soar.
cheers, niteshift
