That Song Anthony Thaxton Music (c) https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13725588Well that song resonates with me I feel a hope rising in me and that’s something I haven’t felt for a while Ill give you props you’ve touched a spot in me ill admit it takes a lot these days But that song makes me wanna smile It’s funny what a word or two wrapped around a few chords can do That melody is begging me to sing along the rhythm make me want to dance again Im feeling every word you sing my friend Get backup and take a chance again Its easy to find myself in that song In that song, the sun is always out And those clouds aint nowhere to be found And those rhymes give me reason to go on See I been lost and that’s so easy to do In this world become a wondering fool That song helps me find my way back home

Really enjoyed the melody and vibe of the tune. You have written a song that every songwriter and song lover, for that matter, can relate to. As far as the production, maybe cut back on the reverb just a bit. Enjoyed it. Nice write.

Anthony,
This is a fun, cool, laid-back listen. Sure, maybe dial back on the reverb just a touch, but it’s such an inviting vibe you have going on with this one. It really does have a sing along feel to it—it’s got me bobbing my head along as I listen, which is a good sign for any song. Really well done tune—enjoyed this a lot. Best of luck with this one.
Best regards,
Deej

Good song. Kinda rocky drop beat. I can hear this playing on a big stage. Lovely lyrics.

Anthony,
I just feel compelled to give this tune a bump. Listened to this again and just really like it. The lyrics are brilliant in their simplicity and the song's bones are just "feel good". Truly, and with all due respect to the many talented folks on this board, this is one of the few songs on this board that I want, and do, sing along with. Great tune, sir.
Best regards,
Deej

Anthony, I'm sitting here tapping my feet and typing in time while I listen to you. It's a very engaging song you've put together! It’s funny what a word or two wrapped around a few chords can do That melody is begging me to sing along the rhythm make me want to dance again Those above lyrics describe everything about your song really, really well. I enjoyed my listen All the best, Noel

thanks Deej and Noel I appreciate your kind words ive been writing songs for a long time and it still amazes me how each song takes on its own personality and changes from creation thorough writing to the dynamics of the recording this is a good write for me it flowed out where I have to work on some songs very few tweak's on this lyric do either of you think it needs a bridge

Hi again Anthony.
I've just had another listen. I don't think it needs a bridge. Having the chorus repeat is great and it really encourages the listener to sing along with it. I found it really engaging just as it is.
All the best, Noel
