Hi friends, my Helen has been unwell for a couple of weeks, and she had a blood test just last Thursday.

Just 12 hours later she was taken to hospital and I was given the terrible news that she has leukemia and it's very aggressive.

I was told that she has a few days left or maybe a few weeks and I have watched her deteriorate since then. She doesn't seem to be in pain and is sleeping a lot.

To say that me and the family are devastated is a massive understatement, so please friends some prayers for Helen would not go amiss.

I have Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and know about all this crap.
Roy.....I implore you to get a second and maybe a third opinion on this as it's really important. Did they say to call Hospice?
I will add her and you in my Prayers as soon as I get off of here.
Hang in there and Please check with another Doc or Two as I've seen many get better news and better ideas that way....

Thanks Barry for the thoughts and prayers. The trouble in the UK is that when someone is seriously ill, and has a leg amputated and is fairly immobile, and 81 years old and has dementia (but not that bad) they will not give long courses of chemo. Just enough it seems to allow family to say goodbye.

Helen is sedated now for pain and will not recover so I am waiting for my sweet Helen to pass over.

I need someone to do a simple recording for me to play at her funeral.

I have re-written the lyrics to a song that Helen wrote many years ago, so it will be half her words and half mine, and I would love to play it at her funeral, as it will be so hard to say.

I have the original with music and vocals but the backing track has long gone

If you can help please let me know and I will send them to you

I will post it when finished as I know that she would love that and she always listened to every comment when I or we posted a song.
