Hi Folks,

Here's one that was recently licensed by Mood Media. We were obviously pleased but surprised given that is "old school" country. We were influenced by a country song we heard that started with the chorus and used a long chorus/short verse format. So, what the heck, we decided to have a go at it

I really enjoyed the "Patsy Cline" feel of this one, J & B! So glad to hear Mood Media licensed it. Of course it's "Old School" Traditional Country... but any day now, Nashville will wake up and "go for the gold" again. Great job, you two. Thanks for caring enough to share this with us. JPF is a better place when you guys and a "side-kick" I won't mention are around with those great sounds. ----Dave

Love it! I love how the melody flutters along and the the classic country arrangement with a modern production--it's the "cats," as Barney might exclaim......

Thank you very much Dave. Janice grew up with her older brother playing rock and her parents listening to country. Throw in our years playing bluegrass and she does have a feel and love of this style. It was a fun project.

I like the swing feel, and the song in general. Maybe old school country is not my forte, but the chorus seems like a verse to me.

It's a really good verse....just the structure threw me off a smidge.

But good is good no matter what era or genre.

Enjoyed my listen.

Thanks! Dunno if the style is specific to old school (likely not) but I did hear a similar layout on a new Mark Chestnutt 90's style country album and found it intriguing.

Thanks! Janice really appreciates your mention of the vocal. We were surprised given that amongst the 14 licensed it was the only country submission. Most of the others were blues or that big tent called Americana.
