RED ROSE
V Bus station sheltered us from showers when we met, that summers day She'd long blonde hair, a red flower Me? One way ticket to get away
V Dylan on home made cassettes shared rented house in Kings Cross the smell of those cigarettes mixed with sweet smelling joss v Befriended poets, dreamers by the score buskers with handmade songs sang for pennies until throats were sore paid for cheap wine all summer long
C Days I remember Days all merging into one. Summer drifted into Autumn Red Rose those days were fun v London in the blistering city heat we loon danced in Russell Square drunken games of hide and seek magnolia blossoms on the air
Music?

v It was a misty day in November things started to go wrong Some had enough i remember me and Red Rose , couldnt get along B Walked her to the bus stop we kissed and we cried Hands lingered for a while then a final goodbye
C2 Days I remember Days all merging into one. Autumn drifted into Winter Then Red Rose there was non( or then we'd gone)

v Our friend Big Mike drank far too much so many demons in his head He went to sleep, and didn't wake up We laid Hyde Park flowers on his bed B Now the streets have all gone built a WESCOE there Where i bought a blood red rose then left it on a garden chair

SUMMER OF 76
She'd long blonde hair, with a flower me?One way ticket, to get away Euston station sheltering from showers where we met, that summers day v America on home made cassettes shared rented house in Kings Cross the smell of pass around cigarettes mixed with sweet smelling joss v Befriended poets, dreamers by the score buskers with handmade songs sang for pennies until throats were sore paid for cheap wine all summer long
c Remembering the summer of 76 over and over again when our candles burnt both ends putting one aside for absent friends
v Someone said, it's the path to suicide playing Russian Roulette That journey was a magical bus ride together with people I'll never forget
v London in the blistering city heat we loon danced in Russell Square drunken games of hide and seek magnolia blossoms on the air
C v Our friend Big Ritchie drank far too much so many demons in his head He went to sleep, and didn't wake up We put Hyde Park flowers on his bed b Summer ended abruptly as it appeared I sat there alone Bitter winds signalled the autumn in love had died now it was time to go home.

I hear this as a near-rest, heart beat song, so will play long. Also it could use a solid hook and get there sooner than after 3 verses... LOL I have been reviewing my notes.

I am trying to figure out whether the two titles represent two separate songs or are two different ideas for the same song. Either way it is a typical song of a summer romance that didn't last once the seasons changed. The season of life in general has changed quite radically since those days as well.

Travis,
Some really nice lines and imagery here. It's always fun watching your songs transform; really like seeing how they evolve from draft to draft. Will look forward as always to hearing it when it's ready.
All the best,
Deej

Keeping the rhymes in place and every line making sense is what's going on in this lyric.
I like how this verse has been put together Below:
V Dylan on home made cassettes -------Should this not be "Dylan at home made cassettes" shared rented house in Kings Cross the smell of those cigarettes mixed with sweet smelling joss
