Mike Zaneski production song lyric and melody by myself I wrote the song one cold and miserable English morning to get miles away in my head from the gloom of winter https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13717273Everfree V We'd set a course following the sun Started to snow when our journey begun Donated clothes and things we won't use sailed free from bad news and attitudes V We'd food and water to last many days guitar n' mandolin to pass time away Renamed our boat the Lovely Abigail she dipped raised and smiled as she sailed C Bound for an Island called Everfree it's not on any chart, never will be It's a secret Isle that nobody knows magic Isle of Everfree with sands of silver and gold V Hoped to drop anchor by Christmas Day. Abie gave me a card that she'd made Soft salty kisses as we danced on waves. I'll remember that moment always B A thunder storm blew up in the night the sea was angry but come daylight The sun appeared the ocean grew calm as our Island came into sight, on that Christmas morn V Palm trees, fresh water, if we want fIsh for tea theres enough for our needs out in the sea We could build a home high in the trees like the Swiss Family Robinson on Everfree C And it's Christmas Day and we're forever free_________

Enjoyed my journey to "Everfree" Island. Imaginative and breezy song... made even better by the talent of Mr. Zee. Thanks, Travis, for sharing another one. ----Dave

Hi you two. Not my style but it's well produced and Mike did a fine job phrasing it. Definitely one for the O'Donnell fans.

Love the fantasy lyric delivered with a very memorable melody.
The write, great vocals, backing tracks all work together really well to deliver the upbeat feel of the tune.
The mandolin is always a great choice for a song of this feel. The mix is light and airy as befits the tune,
Nice!!!!

Such a beautiful write Travis. Line after line of real gems.... gotta love them "Soft salty kisses", eh? Mike has done a masterful job here. I really like mixing of the vocal tracks. The song has a cool overall pace and vibe. No doubt this deserves to be on the radio. Content and production wise, it's as good as anything on the air. all the best with it I find writing songs as a get away to be very practical...... it saves on petro.

Travis,
I really liked where these lyrics were going when I saw them on the L3 Forum—glad you stuck with it. Mike, as usual, did an excellent job bringing this all to life. Not a surprise it’s getting some play (Congrats on that!!!). Beautiful write, play and listen. Well done, friends!
All the best,
Deej

The melody had me bobbing along on the waves. Very nice, gentle lyrics and a melody and production to match. I really enjoyed this.
Congrats on the airplay. What BBC program played it?
The title had me thinking of Yeats' poem "The Lake Isle of Innisfree." Similar theme of escaping from the humdrum world to an idyllic island. Did you draw inspiration from the poem?

Hi Gavin It was played twice on BBC Radio Cumbria a programme called Introducing which gives unsigned under the radar singers/ writers an opportunity to go national. Also played on Source Radio in Cornwall a smaller commercial station. Yes i've heard this poem. Did'nt Bing Crosby have a 50s hit with the Isle of Innisfree? Both totally different but thanks for your ears and comments Travis
