Just wondering how hard it is for lyricists only to find melody writers and singers to sing it? Some I guess go to these Sites where they write a melody for you lyric and have a great singer to demo it. Of course we have Mike here who does a bang up job.... I've always felt I was really blessed to able to sing write words, melodies, play and sing...... Barry

The top three places for lyricists to meet melody writers are:
The strip club, Home Depot, and Dunkin Donuts

If you consistently post strong material that meters well, composers will often contact you.

I was being facetious Barry, but you never know where u might meet a great cowriter or musician.
Somebody once said, go where people are not, or in baseball terms, hit it where they ain't. Some people do well targeting places that people don't think of.
Years ago I worked in a guitar shop, I worked with about 10 other musicians, and we never worked together on anything. We had a common bond, playing guitar, and a couple of drummers, and I did do a demo with so,e of them for my stuff, but really none of us worked together. And of all the people that walked in, I never really met anybody I wanted to write with. This was before the net, and before everybody was a lyricist...
Then, I worked in mail rooms, offices, many places and it turns out, that just about everybody is a musician, and everybody writes songs. I haven't met anyone who worked on it like I did, they left it to chance, but everybody it seems
This one guy used to deliver records to us, in a van, the last guy in the world i would have thought was a musician, somehow the conversation came up, and I was sitting in his van listening to his demos lol.
We wrote a few songs, I sang and wrote melody and lyrics over his tracks
This talent we have is not rare at all

Yeah I remember the days of posting musician wanted ads to put bands together which never worked out, but in reverse pulling the phone number tag off the bottom of bands looking and then going to audition with no clue what you were walking into. It was exciting followed by everything from horrified to overjoyed, from annoyed to amused to impressed and occasionally intimidating when at 18 I was auditioning for a signed band. But in hindsight those were so much fun and those little tear off phone numbers often felt like a lottery ticket.

In a word, most of them don't.
The best way is to have working relationships with songwriting musicians.
