I wonder who wrote the jingle for the game show and how they get paid. The royalties if any, etc. Anyone know this part of the music business?

The Jeopardy! theme song was written by Merv Griffin, the creator of the original Jeopardy! game -- but not originally as it's theme. Merv originally wrote it as a lullaby for his son and called it "A Time for Tony. Merv is long dead, but his estate gets the royalties like any other theme song as Merv was a very good businessman and would have worked out those details before his death.
At last tally he'd made over 80 million dollars off that theme song so I'd get to writing if you are so inclined!

He also wrote the theme for Wheel of Fortune and created that show. That's why he was a Billionaire and we aren't.
