Really enjoyed my listen, Marvin:
It sounds somewhere in the middle of "Today's Country" and "Traditional." ...and to me, that's a real good thing. Great title, vocal perfect for the genre, a meaningful, well written lyric with a message folks can "relate to." Thanks for sharing. I'll be expecting to hear this one booming out from that great little country station in Granbury, Texas any day now. ----Dave

Hey Marvin, another good one. I kind of agree with Dave but I see this more as Today's country...as I can definitely hear this on country radio right now. I love your lyric and the production of your song. Is that you singing...if it is, you did a fantastic job.
I wrote a song with much the same subject matter and will post it in the days to come.

Thanks Dave and Germain for listening, and for the great comments. The vocalist is Brent Rader. Brent has a studio in Nashville, and is my producer as well as a great friend who also does most of my demo work. Thanks guys!
God bless, Marvin

I think this was well produced, played and sung. Although you tried hard to make the hook work, it still seems "off" to me. (as it feels like the line would lead to, "goin for good" rather than "gone") I thought the background track could use a little de-cluttering as that, banjo? is distracting and I wondered how this would sound without it. Very close and really well done; I enjoyed it! -Mike

Very polished production and a very solid country song, with a great hook in the chorus, excellent well done.
(It would be nice to see lyrics posted.)
Thanks,
Kevin
