The Mrs. https://www.reverbnation.com/ronnierocks/song/29248390-mrs-vocals-by-adam-stephensonThe Mrs. Copyright © 2017 Ron Anderson Verse 1 It's been a sad and lonely week since she's been gone I should call her up but it seems so wrong You see I came home late again that night, And I pushed my luck too far And I haven't seen her pretty face since she took off in that car Chorus 1 Now I know why they called her the Mrs. Every time they spoke of her and me Cause now I really miss her smile and all her kisses And I wonder if she misses me at all. Verse 2 I haven't found where she had put the checkbook I don't even know what bills are due I'm not the picture of a perfect man, and I don't seem to be that bright But if she'd come on back to me, I swear I'll treat her right. Chorus 2 Now I know why they called her the Mrs. Cause this ole boy misses her more every day. You should have seen the way she smiled when she called me honey And I wonder if she'd smile at me today. Bridge: Someday I hope the phone will ring And I will hear her voice Telling me she's coming back to me And that everything's all right. Outro: I know why they called her the Mrs. I just wonder if my Mrs. misses me.

That's a very clever hook. Gives me an idea like....Ms Jane
That key change in the chorus you don't hear too much any more, might try a higher key but, it's catchy and sounds good. Like the guitar work
Good luck with it

Ronnie,
Nice production on this. The guitar's are especially nice.
An interesting choice of effect on the vocal - don't think I've ever heard that on a Country song.
For the type lyric it is, I would think it would be a bit more up-tempo than it is.

Beautiful guitar sound. I love those opening lines, I think they are a notch above the rest. The chorus is strong too. Enjoyed that a lot.

I really love this. I know this is country, but I am more reminded of Springsteen actually. I find this to be a sparkling production and I dig the guitars.
The only thing I would do is boost the vocals. They are getting a little lost in the mix, but again a absolutely love the mood, vibe, and feel of this song.

I like the uniqueness of the vocal melody. There are places where it seems to blend into the guitar and bass....and then come out again. I like the song. With some more processing and maybe a little more harmony (or tandem) added to the vocals, it could be even more interesting.
Reminds me of a melodic Kurt Cobain kinda thing.
Good song.

Nice tune, Ron: Your vocalist has a unique style and like Snyder... I can "feel a hint of Springsteen" in it. Enjoyed. Best of luck with it. ----Dave

Ronnie D.,
Having perused the board and read the comments, I was eager to hear this one. I wasn’t disappointed, love the opening—very inviting. I’m going to disagree with the Springsteen call outs (don't hear that much at all). To me, rather, it hints of R.E.M., on the guitar and melody changes—actually, even on the vocal to some degree. Some lovely sounds backing this tune; musically subtle and compelling harmonies. This is really, really strong. Liked it a ton!
Regards and best of luck with it,
Deej

Sounds like a song we'd hear on our various Americana channels we stream. Just fits right in.
Everything worked for us. It sounds fine on our monitors and we enjoyed it!
