Well it's been over a year since our last co-write. Here's our new endeavor. Let us know what you think. Any and all comments/suggestions are welcome. https://www.soundclick.com/html5/v3/player.cfm?type=single&songid=13686613&q=hi&newref=1We’re Losing Our Connect by Roger Sosnowski/Scott Miller Verse 1 A romantic dinner, just my wife and I Looked around the restaurant had to shake my head and sigh A roomful of people all glued to their phones The stones could have rolled thru the place, no one would have known Chorus What ever happened to just talking to each other Having conversations ‘bout one thing or another stead of starin at screens and reading tweets Texting everyone except the one in the next seat Now we’re all held together by bandwidth and chat with one another each other with our fingertips Maybe it’s me but I can’t help thinking we're all connected but we're losing our connection Verse 2 Sat down at the park, a beautiful sunny day But not a single child was out there to play Couped up inside with their video games and tv The more I thought about it, the more it got to me Chorus Whatever happened to telling ghost stories by the fire Having a bunch of friends over for that all nighter Playin pick up ball on the back yard lot Or cops n robbers with the kids down the block Now we’re all held together by bandwidth and chat with one another each other with our fingertips Maybe it’s me but I can’t help thinking we’re all connected but we're losing our connection Bridge Let’s try turning everything off for a day or two And find our way back to,, me and you Chorus What ever happened to just talking to each other Having conversations ‘bout one thing or another stead of starin at screens and reading tweets Texting everyone except the one in the next seat Now we’re all held together by bandwidth and chat with one another with our fingertips Maybe it’s me but I can’t help thinking we're all connected but we're losing our connection Losin our connection

Hello fellahs Yes it's bad news that people immediately get out their phones soon as they're seated. It's bad enough them bumping into you on the street as they're head down texting. Good theme, good song but not sure if it's a winner in it's present form good as it is .Perhaps a humourous version would work for this? Travis

You guys are observant... and we really are "losing our connection." Communication is so important... but 90% of what is being said on iPhones and their clones... is hot air... a big "to do" about nothing.
Loved your song and the idea it carries. Thanks for sharing. ----Dave

HI Scott and Roger, It's great to hear lyrics that are on the topical side and a current topic, to boot--social media is changing who we are, from the inside out. You've written a song that's musically enjoyable and lyrically vital. I enjoyed it very much. Mike

Hi Travis,
Thanks for giving this one a listen. We kind of tossed around the idea of a humorous version in the beginning but then we thought of our reactions when we see all this stuff going on--and it wasn't funny. More like sad and irritating. At any rate this is something everyone can relate to I think. Thanks again and take care, Roger

Hi Dave,
Thanks for giving our song a listen. Glad you enjoyed it. I guess it's the times we live in--but a lot of this texting, email, tweeting stuff is out of control--or maybe I'm just too old to get on board, lol. Thanks again and take care, Roger

Great take on modern life, Roger. Really nicely written lyric and Scott's treatment has a modern country feel to it. Best of luck with it. Lol - my word modern was autocorrected to modem. How perfect is that? Scott

Amen. Everywhere we go more and more folks of all ages are looking remarkably like zombies as they walk around with their devices.
Yeah, we're all connected by species and ultimately stardust but let's give our fingers a rest, get off the grid for a few and re-connect.
We enjoyed it!

Hi Scott,
sorry for the delay on getting a reply. Thanks for the kind words. We got a professional critique on this one that came in very good--of course with a couple of suggestions for changes. Scott and I are working on a follow up version--but everything takes time, lol. Take care
