All I hear lately on the news about women getting harassed by some idiots made me wonder how much this could have an impact on the dating game. It also brought a song into my mind. Someone mentioned that the word "Harassment" is pronounced differently in the US. I hope you over there still understand what I mean though. Please share your thoughts. Hey, Vic:
Most of us over here across the pond barely speak the language you folks gave us... LOL!... and the "H" word is certainly being bandied about on TV over here. They'll eventually get tired of "no action" and things will return to normal.
Really enjoyed reading the lyric as you sang. It's an ear-grabber for certain and I always enjoy listening to your work. I've been attempting to "un-invent the wheel" for decades now and limited levitation is all I've been able to achieve! (Before falling on my posterior with a painful thump.)
Thanks for sharing and best of luck with it. Before I forget, I had to switch back to JPF while your song was playing and before I could get switched back I heard a bit of "Cinnamon" and it is another "stunner" my friend.
Enjoyed, ----Dave

Hi Dave. Language is forever evolving. I lived in Wales 'til I was three and told by my mother that I used to speak Welsh. After living 30 years in London I now talk almost cockney but live in Wales. Much of the UK language is an international mix.
"Cinnamon Eyes"?. I listened to it a few days ago. Still needs work when I get round to it.
Thanks for listening.

Hi Vic, You can rock out with the best of 'em..Your photos "from the side" always remind me of Bowie..David, not, the knife That's a real catchy chorus..if the singer was really asking himself if his actions were "harrassment" I'd suggesting changing that, but then the chorus goes on and he clarifies he's seeking consent, so it's all good.. Very enjoyable! Mike

Agree with Michael. That chorus is very hooky. Infectious. It is what brought this song home for me. Excellent guitar ring as well. Joyed it,
Dave

Hey Vic!
Yea I can hear Bowie, but also Tom Petty. I really especially like these lyrics, they're the type that you want to sing along with. (Oh yea, when I said Bowie, I did mean Jim Bowie, the guy with the knife at the Alamo).
Well done, and very enjoyable listen!

Loved the song....BUT...lol. I really didn't think the word nervous, (or that line) suited. It looked like you were reaching for a rhyme. I'm assuming your intention was to imply, (as mentioned) the complications in the dating scene, even so, I still don't think it worked. Again: loved the song! -Mike

Hey Vic, This is cool. You know I love your stuff and your song construction and everything, but this is a tiny nit: I think the plug in you are using for the master is rendering this a little hot. I can hear all the instruments in the right places so I know they are there, and I can tell the vocals are good but it sounds like there might be a plug-in the master bus like a maximizer or compessor (maybe an Ozone preset or something) that is overcompressing it and spiking the LUFS. You acoustic sounds are so wonderful when they are clearly separated that I don't think you need to push this one so hot. Sorry if I am wrong because this is the first time I have ever heard any over compression in one of your mixes. Please don't hit me!! Great song though!!

Hi Mike Z. Glad you liked it. As for Bowie, I was told that a couple of months ago for the first time. Can't see it myself but I'll live with it. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Mike 9ne. Well, it was the other way around. I was looking for a rhyme for nervous and I decided on "preserve us". Not sure why you don't like "nervous". I thought it explained the feeling quite well but it's good to hear an alternative view.
Thanks for the opinion and I'm glad you liked most of it.

I think most people would assume "nervous" would refer to either she's looks like a psychopath or nervous in a shy/bashful context, whereas, your line's intent is that (perhaps) these days you have to be careful how your actions may be perceived.

Like this one, Vic. The intro reminded me of a Springsteen tune, for whatever reason. Got no suggestions, comments . . . got nothing. Liked it all.
Regards,
Deej

Classic Vic Loved the musical break and the transition the v 2. You always come across as some older rock star masquerading as a regular Joe (musician).hanging out with us mere mortals.

Well all I can say Mike is, if you didn't get nervous chatting to a girl for the first time you must be super cool, especially, as you say "these days you have to be careful how your actions may be perceived". Vic

Hi Nelson. "older" is the right word but it's more like an older musician masquerading as a rock star. Thank you for your sympathy. Vic
