Hey Calvin:
Can't believe our resident "Choirboy" influenced you this way. Mr. "Z" is gonna have some 'splainin' to do next time I send him a demo request. Gotta admit, "The Flaming Udders" is about the most original band name I've heard. Thanks for the entertainment and a peek into what goes on down there near the Everglades at the Big Lake!

Lol, funny blues tune off the beaten path.
So, is Mike Z. the lead singer for the Flaming Udders? I always suspected he had an alter-ego!
Haha.

Hello TC, Thank you for taking a few minutes of your day to listen to this & comment. No, Mike Z is NOT the singer, if he were it would have sounded REALLY GOOD ! It was fun to experiment & put this together. Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

I was having a crap day yesterday and read the lyric when I was feeling all defeated on the way home. Gosh, this made me laugh. Thank you for that.
I still have to listen to the audio and will report back later when I do. In the meantime, I just wanted to drop-in to say that I have cleared my practice schedule and am hoping to join "The Flaming Udders." If you are looking for band members, I'm in.
Also, I saw a legal memo at work the other day where a gentleman's mullet hairstyle was described as "a full Alabama Waterfall." Of course, I immediately thought, "Calvin would know how to use that in a song.." Everyone should thank me later for the mad brilliant song you will make from this!

Now that's cool! Can always expect the unexpected from you Cal. And that's a good thing. Not mainstream, but I bet you could find a cult audience. Best, John

Hi Calvin, OMG! I haven't laughed this hard in months, heehee.. I wasn't expecting a deconstructed bluesey lounge sound, but this is great, it totally works.. The way you deliver the phrasing is indescribably delicious. The oh of overalls especially. Congrats on another winner. One of your funnest.. Mike ****************************************************************************** Dave, Calvin has two voices he uses a lot--one is a whisperish sound that can sound menacing or sweet, depending on the song--the other is a kind of loud, simple, happy sounding voice that he used recently on his "Thank You Mister Santa Claus" song which I described in passing as having that "aw shucks I'm wearing overalls" kinda sound. He mentioned he might use the line, but what a nice surprise. Mike

Well Calvin, You are reminding me of old memories! When I was young there was a story going around, I guess it was true, this guy said he bought the biggest pair of Overalls he could get because he got more for his money! So write a hit!

What did I just listen to? lol I don't know but I had to see it all the way until the end and that's a good thing. A cross between sympathy for the devil and one of Zappa's experimental creations. You've got such a great imagination Calvin! I love it! I am way too conventional, so I am always entertained by somebody with such an imagination. You remind me of a good friend I knew from NY, who also wrote songs and sang, called Zilch Fletcher. You and he would have gotten along famously! I was thoroughly drawn in and entertained, again. Thanks for sharing! -Paul

Calvin,
This is classic Calvin! To be honest, it's not quite my favorite from you. But from a production standpoint, I think it’s among the strongest of yours I’ve listened to. The vocal is perfect; everything else just accentuates it, from the musical accompaniments to the subtle voices/harmonies that chime in throughout. Very impressive!
Regards,
Deej

Hey Calvin,
Your level of production my friend has come up to meet your songwriting and music ability.
Loved it. A Calvin track with great sonic overture......
Watch out my fiend, you're destined for the NY catwalk or Milan, or any other esoteric thing the "memes of the moment" seem appropriate.
Great listen.
cheers, niteshift

Can't help but love it Calvin. This song sounds to have an extra layer of polish somehow. Keep it up. I'm convinced that there are people out there who would eat up what you do....other than me.
Martin
Just noticed that Mike was involved. You two are a good pairing. He gets you.

Hello Martin, Thanks for taking a few minutes of your time to listen & comment. Much appreciated., you made my day. Mike was only the inspiration for the tune, he made a comment about WEARING OVERALLS, and this was born. If.......he had his hands on this song it would have been GREAT. Calvin, if it were mine, I'd ditch the overall lyrics and make it a serious track. It reminds me of the doors...the end https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JSUIQgEVDM4People are commenting on the funny idea, but the music is actually pretty interesting. Very Jim Morrison saying " the killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on, he took a face from the ancient gallery, and then he, he walked on down the halllllll"........ Keep or sweep

Hey Calvin,
You're sounding a little like Jerry Lee Louis here to me--he'd love this. Great production by the way, kind of sounds like a lot going on, yet there's still a lot of space. I felt stoned after listening to this'n! Cool stuff my friend.

Ok, so I listened to this song and turned around and saw the ghost of Jim Morrison standing behind me asking me if I wanted to go into the desert and find the Indian Chief Spirit Guide...and I said...Better not Jim....and he left. I saw the nod to Michael Zaneski and was expecting...well...something slightly different...then I got to the line about shaving your butt and Morrison came back and after that things got even more confusing. Is that what was supposed to happen when I listened to this song????
