I just sold 8 soundtracks to a guy in the UK who wants them as back ground music for singing the songs in church. Not talking much money but it is nice knowing the songs will be getting heard, even if it is a limited audience.

Everett, that is really something, for someone to reach out to WANT TO BUY anything! Add on to that the reason? Very meaningful, which will affect many others as the music plays!

Congrats!

Really cool Everett! Those songs of yours may go on & on after you're long gone. It would be nice if they taped a church service using your songs, so you could hear it them.

Best, John smile

It's a great success, Everett, even with a limited (and captive) audience! Now you're international! grin Congrats!

Thank you all for your encouraging remarks. This has happened before but usually for one or two songs, not eight. Actually he requested more than eight, but unfortunately I didn't have soundtracks for the other songs. I have songs registered with CCLI that are getting played in churches in a number of countries, but this is the first individual to request soundtracks for this purpose. He doesn't play an instrument.

Hi Everett:

Sorry I'm late. Battling an attempt to connect a laser printer to a Linux Desktop... and I'm losing.

Thanks for sharing your good news. Money wise, it may be small potatoes... but, as "Front Page John Schick" said... it may give you a degree of immortality, my friend. Nice to think your songs may still be heard somewhere in this world... long after you have "gone to your reward." Congratulations. ----Dave

Thanks Dave. That is what I aim for, acceptance of what I write, I don't ever expect to get rich or even want to get rich at this stage of my life. Money is nice but does not automatically make you happy or even satisfied. Touching people in a good way with something you wrote or did brings happiness and contentment. Some people that win the lottery wish they never did because it can bring misery to their lives. Still millions play the lottery every week against all odds of winning. I guess songwriting is a bit like playing the lottery, the odds are stacked against the average person ever making it, but still we try. But we do have something to show for the money we spend, songs, and if someone is touched by those songs, maybe that is reward enough.LOL

From a fellow Canadian....great news Everett. I`m late posting but just saw this today. It may not be much money but it`s funny how things happen in this business sometimes...never know where it might or will lead. One thing is sure, it means that you`re music is moving other people...that`s a great sign.

Germain
