One take for the main piano as I was in an improve mood for that Classic McCartney tune. Some of the other tracks were done in the same way, while others, I worked out as I didn't like the first takes.

No verse lyrics. Played it in a slower tempo, at 96bpm. In the key of Cm, for I just went there for some reason.

Hope Paul likes it! haha, (as if, right?)

Awesome rendition, Johnny! It really showcases your talents. I'm sure Sir Paul would love it.

Barry:

After a musician friend of mine said it;s the best music form me in a long, long time, (?), I thought, well then, I should NOT sing anything more than the chorus, and with a lot of vocal tracks to do the three parts.

Thank you

Ricki

Thank you Ricki, very kind of you. Glad I have some talents, as in all of us here. Otherwise, I would be golfing, cursing at having to follow that ball around, left and right, and short! Yuck!

Give me baseball and give me music! I got both, thankfully!

I mastered the tracks, then remixed it, with also removing most of the chorus vocals. I HOPE it is better, not worse!

Thank you. (My ears, with Tinnitus, has me doubting all I hear is all that's there).

Thank you!

Hi Johnny:

I noticed you mentioned Tinnitus in another song post. Forgive me, I was unaware you suffer from that condition. Reminds me of our friend, Mike Caro. (Hope he's doing well and has recovered fully from his condition.) Mine went away after about six months with a little treatment and lots of TLC from my wife.

You certainly don't let it hold you back... or get you down... as far as your music is concerned. This was a stunning cover and I would think Sir Paul would be delighted to hear such a great and innovative rendition. The 96BPM gives it a bluesy vibe. I sure enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it with us. ----Dave

Dave, thank you for such a compliment. My intense, lifelong love for doing music is the reason I think. Ya can't hide passion, right?
Yea, Tinnitus and the worse one, Hyperacousis. (Extreme sensitivity to even the most calm sounds which I am not aware are about to happen. A drop of pencil on the wood floor would have me yelling tou to Cindy if she is OK. I guess my brain amplifies sounds that are not perceived to happen, by seeing them about to happen. ???? Weird. Had both since one night in late 2010. Tried this and that. Two University heads of the ENT department tested me at an extreme level, (DUH, I already assumed that)! Ha! it affected my hearing other things right at soon as it came on THAT NIGHT which I still remember as if I can relive it in full. A YIKES, Holy SH--T moment. I only had three days of some escape from it, then it SNAPPED back on just like the first night, and since that 2013 three day peace time. Otherwise, it's lke having a thousand crickets and whatever the other strange feeling, metallic like sound is in there. My damaged nerves in the audio canal, and whatever else, happened gets spiked up to a very high volume after just a couple of songs played on my upright, or acoustic guitar. Singing too, for I guess that sound goes from my mouth to trigger those damaged nerves more. I record at a very low volume, and simply pay for any rise in sounds and feelings in my ears as what wold be an occupational hazard. Many other people deal with their job's O. H, so why not us who have ours?
Thanks again! Much appreciated!

Calvin, thank you too so much for your compliment. The song itself made it easier for me to have my version be I guess, appealing. Got to have the Song first, right? A classic Paul song doesn't hurt! I cheated, I guess.

Thanks guys,
John

Lovely job arranging this, Johnny! So saddened to hear of your ear nerve damage. That sounds miserable to live with. Yet as always, you carry right on!
Take care -

Hi Johnny,

I really enjoyed this a lot. It's subtle yet commanding. The timpanis really set it off in the chorus. The harp is a real nice touch and the keys are spot on. This is a real treat!

Linda, thank you, and yes, I HAVE to carry right on, for I am now too heavy to lift and be carried! Ha!

David, Thank you too. The order of, and what is to be in any song I do is hardly known until I finish one track. Then it's sudden inspiration to track this or that. For this, I made sure I didn't keep going once I felt enough in there to get the mood and dynamic points across. I picture a small orchestra, and see players and their instruments. That comes from before tuning pianos for real orchestras, (mainly The Philadelphia Orchestra in the years of the 70's. Thank you for your comments.

Johnny,

Enjoyed this--got to be fun doing a Beatle tune, and your rendition is interesting!

Very nice John! I enjoyed it a lot. It reminds me a little of the version nominated in this years music awards Cover Song category (though it has lyrics): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sHSbCtzgzs

You should keep making music... you need it more than you know my friend!

Brian, thank you very much for your listen and comments. It just came to me in a flash. No practicing it. I simply hit Record and started playing the first track after I cam up from my upright piano when fooling around with it, (the key mainly). Weird how it's all been happening like that lately. Feelings, it is, if I am trying to figure it all out. I just go with what hits me at the moment. I have no choice but to track songs here and there. I don't know how to quit anyway. I tried that before. Didn't take.

Thank you,

Happy New Year!
John
