Here is a piece I just finished but haven't quite decided on the title. So I am going to allow you to look it over and make suggestions as to what the title should be and once that happens I shall update this thread with the preferred title. Lyrics c2017 Brian Beecher.
TUG OF WAR (WON'T LAST FOR LONG)
Oh, this tug of war won't last for long As your distance from me is coming on strong The fruits of love can be yours When you take the right amount of time to be sure
One step at a time Is all it takes As soon as you realize You had made a mistake
this is one of those moments when Time is on your side As time goes along you are bound to Gain some real insight
The potential to stop you in your tracks Is symptom of the empathy you lack There may be somebody your might meet Causing you to think fast on your feet
Babe I've been through This rodeo before And if you don't want me Right over there's the door
This is one of those moments when Time is on your side And I'll give you a chance to Gain some real insight
There is a lesson to be learned When you are on the verge of being burned And it can make us stronger by Showing us where the bridges are weak
This is one of those moments when Time is on your side And I hope you'll take the time to Gain some real insight
Where we see the end We can see the beginning to
Oh, this tug of war can't last for long As your distance from me is coming on strong

Since nobody gave me the suggestion for the title of this piece I chose to use Tug of War with subtitle Won't Last for Long.

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
