"Christmas Different" Copyright 2017 M.Healey
How he loved this time of year watching as the season cheered Everything was such a treat until every Christmas eve A single man on his own he'd no folks nowhere to go Every year he'd wake and see, again no gifts beneath his tree But this year he had a plan and rushing ready cash in hand Shopping mall was just the place to locate a friendly face Lonely sales girl she's the one, understood what needed done She'd buy presents he'd not see and send them to him Christmas eve
Somebody's gonna be happy Somebody's gonna get their wishes Hoping everyone Has a merry one This Christmas Make this Christmas different
But Christmas eve came and went no one called no presents sent Then Christmas day there came a knock an opened door brought such a shock Who was this now stamping snow holding presents wrapped and bowed His secret Santa from the shop, Surprise! Surprise! Look what I brought And then he said come in come in, and so that Christmas came and went She would stay and never go for she like him was all alone And every year the tree stood there to guard their gifts and those they shared The years flew by each Christmas different and their past alone grew ever distant
Somebody's gonna be happy Somebody's gonna get their wishes Hoping everyone Has a merry one This Christmas Make this Christmas different

Thanks so much Neil! I do have the chorus music. (It came to me first) I'll have to come up with the verse melody. Hopefully in the new year I'll have some time because I have a backlog of things I really want to do and need to get done. Thanks again! -Mike

Ahhh! A Christmas miracle with a happy ending. Perfect match.
I found the last lines V1 a little vague. Maybe this is slightly less vague ... or maybe not.
"Lonely sales girl she's the one. She would know what should be done She'd buy presents he'd not see and send them to him Christmas eve."

Vic, thanks for your input. Hard to come up with a new angle, glad you thought it worked! Your line suggestion worked for me, (that was a tricky part) because it showed her situation also. I altered it slightly, but you were spot on.
Thanks! -Mike
