silence
a old write on revenge
I`m here to avenge nothing the task was well preformed. Im here the moment, gone forever the better choice, no tear.
I stand in silence, amoung the rubble they don`t know me never will.
Some tasks a bounty.. some tasks were pain.. these memories will fade.
Forever after, hollow thought.. for a giver and taker in life.
What you see is your own creation and might scare you.
what I am has wept, and forgiven...Vincent

Lane,
You’re awesomingly (yes, that’s a new word I just made up) prolific. You’ve put up a lot since I’ve last had a chance to post—I’ll comment on a few in separate threads, but start with this one. Great opening first two lines. You lose me in the next two following, but thereafter the words and feel work well--enough mystery to keep me wanting to understand; enough context to let me. And as always, a great closing line.
Love reading your stuff--keep them coming!
Kind regards,
Deej

hey Dee, I worked for the police for about 12yrs. Some of the things I`d see would not go away, i`d wander around the house, not sleeping.
My middle daughter brought in a computer and said write it all out dad, print it out.. and save it or just burn it. It really helped.
the thing was I was writing things only I could understand, like a code. and my girls wanted to have them. I had to learn how to write so people could understand.. the truth?, my friends would say, "thats so pretty" .. what the hell are you talking about.....lol so if you ever want or need to know what I`m saying.. just ask I`m a little used to that...lol
thanks so much for taking time to read and comment Dee.

Hi Lane, I like this one a lot. These lines are especially meaningful to me: What you see is your own creation and might scare you.
what I am has wept, and forgivenThis to me speaks of "owning" our darker, shadowy stuff which we bring forth into the world (instead of, say, projecting it onto others), and your lines say that more eloquently than I ever could. Reading your last post.. I think there are some meanings that can't survive being "de-coded." Some can be too specific, or fragile, or beautiful for prose or even song lyrics. That's part of what makes poetry poetry, I think? There's much beauty in your "code" kind sir. Mike

sometimes in life Mike some people do things to you... they don`t forget..they expect "ugly from you, instead you grow..to Me they have no right to know how much... and which direction.. thats a pointed end of the stick. ..
What you see is your own creation and might scare you.
what I am has wept, and forgiven....that itself one might consider a mild revenge,,I don`t....but and a better result for both sides....lol
and I so agree with you. poetry? lyric? way to far apart I think..I remember I typed in somewhere..I never put music to poetry or these writes...two things happen..you have a song no one understands...or a song you can`t meter....lol
thank you Mike for stopping in and commenting.....Lane
