Hey folks, For any of you folks that might be in the ATLANTA, GA. area this weekend, I'll be performing at the ACKWORTH CULTURAL ARTS CENTER in ACKWORTH Ga. This Sunday evening 5:30-8:30 with a group of Ga. and Chattanooga songwriters. Would love to meet some of you if you happen to be in the area. Come to Houston. Would like to hear you.
Will be in Bham around Christmas. Gonna try to do open mic at Moonlight on the Mountain. Maybe there?

Martin,
Sadly no. Texas is not really on my radar screen especially with all the stuff that went on a few weeks ago. I just really don't get that way too much. Mostly centered in the south. Moonlight on the Mountain is a great venue, and I played there last year. I have not yet met the new owner, and don't believe I'll be performing down there.
The majority of what I do is when I am invited to do shows in areas, and a majority of the time it is in conjunction with a workshop or seminar I am involved with. And a great deal are songwriter's festivals. Last week I was in Mississippi for the Mississippi Songwriter's festival. This Atlanta show is in conjunction with the SMOKEY MOUNTAIN SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL, and Nov. 9-19, it will be the FRANK BROWN SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL in PERDIDO KEY FLA. If you really want to make the most out of your "open mic" times, you should try to make some festivals. They all have open mics, are around multiple writers and artists, venues, advertisers. A lot more effective use for time spent.
Thanks for reading. Good luck in Houston.

Is it too soon to make Sherman's March to the Sea jokes? heh.
