Love conquers all and broken hearts can mend - a great performance by a stellar group of Nashville Cats pulls out the stops on this tune by Gallatin/ Mizzell . No big story here - just a belief in the power of love. Buddy Jewell is the singer and it was recorded at Jay''s Place. https://www.soundclick.com/html5/v3/player.cfm?type=single&songid=13631534&q=hi I can Kiss Your Blues Goodbye Somebody stopped the merry-go-round Now your smile's turned upside down I know how much it hurts to be somebody elses' fool that don't mean that you give up Let me fill your loving cup I've got a cure for what's ailing you chorus I can kiss your blues goodbye Make things better if you let me try I understand you need the touch of a loving hand So hold me close and close your eyes I believe I can kiss your blues goodbye verse 2 Is that fear I see in your eyes Left over from some lovers lies Let me hold you until the darkness turns to dawn A new day brings love again , open up your heart and let me in This feels to right to ever be wrong repeat Chorus Instrumental verse Breakdown Chorus and Outro Gallatin/Mizzell 2001 all rights reserved

Thanks Gavin, Yeah Jay's Place is a demo house and this song, like so many others never got picked up by a publisher but it still lives on. Mark Kauffman wrote a song about the graveyard of songs, but like Tinkerbell, they live on as long as someone believes in them. But Buddy Jewel did well, he got signed to a label, had some hits.

Thanks Calvin. Remember Nicely Nicely? He was a character in "Guys and Dolls" , sang in the "Fugue for Tinhorns" that opens the show.

Pete,
A well-done tune--all around from the vocals, lyrics and production. No reason this couldn't--and shouldn't--hold it's own with anything else I've heard on country radio today. Good stuff--thanks for sharing!
Regards,
Deej
