Nice one Bob, as you said there's a few more... As an aside, my wife and I were at a Bowie concert back in the day at an outdoor stadium. When the lights came up after the show I noticed Cockburn and his lady friend were seated directly behind us. Exercising my incredible wit I said: "So Bruce, did you ever find where the lions were?" He didn't answer, though he managed a grin....

Midnite: Thanks for the mention, though I've had a few local "hits" and some of my gospel songs are being played in many parts of the world in churches, I doubt that you would have recognized them as mine.LOL

Love it, love it love it, Donna! Thanks! ...And now, if anyone has 14 minutes to spare...Guess who re-united a few years ago, OK, " a "few years" is relative...All I know is that it was "The other day", to give a 14 minute version of "American Woman"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_fNGa26higMidnite

At least he didn't answer, "Yes I did, and it was while took my fall vacation"... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKXxdfAqc70For my money, no one has ever combined poetry and music the way that Mr. Cockburn has done... Midnite P.S..."Don't shoot me man, I'm a graceful slow dancer"..... P.P.S...I saw him live in the late 90's in a 1,500 seat venue. Folks kept shouting out songs for him to play, but he'd written so many, that he eventually smiled and said "You are all asking me to play songs that I can't even remember the chords to. So I'll just play the ones that I remember. Will that be okay?" The crowd cheered, and he continued with only his guitar and and some weird cymbal that he would kick now and then...The personification of humility and awesomeness.... P.P.P.S....Bruce's "Christmas" CD is one that anyone who gets tired of traditional Christmas carols as the season draws nigh, should be on your "Go To" list:-)

Thanks for starting this thread, Midnite:
I seldom have time to click on the links you guys provide but sure do appreciate all the Canadian contributions to the American Music Scene. As I recall (and I'm guessing many here have never heard of them) several of the "Sons of the Pioneers" were Canadian born. One of them, I think, went on to "made for TV" long running westerns and had a big role in "Gunsmoke." Sorry, can't remember if it was Chester or Festus. (Old age creepeth!) LOL!
Have yourselves a great weekend. ----Dave

Ottawa band of the early seventies Five Man Electrical Bandlittle known fact--they actually released an LP with the Guess Who. Each took a side. The band was then called The Staccatos. Two of their big hits https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeVhhHRDcQUI'm A stranger Here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9lh7lqZojcSigns
