Hi all, this is a little write and song, I keep this short so I don`t bore people. Mike Zaneski does such a great job with what I hand him. Hi Lane:
As usual, Mike's vocal and exceptional harmonies bring this lyric to a level that seems to transcend genres. I hear "short duration songs" are really in demand these days... and this one could "bring home the bacon." I really enjoyed hearing it... and if we were sitting around in a small café somewhere in this part of the country... the juke box would probably get "B7" played repeatedly. You two seem to have a musical connection "at the hip" and it really shows in the quality and enjoyability of your work. Just in case you didn't "get my drift"... B7 = "In the Wind!" Nothing boring with this one, Lane.
That "uptempo country" feel really rings my chimes. Fantastic, guys! -----Dave

Hi Dave, so glad you made it here. ..me too! I thought the harmonies in this were outstanding. thats why I always add Mike never fails to amaze me. some of these little songs, and what Mike can make of them. I just write them down and then drag Him in the middle of them.....lol and Dave I think I like these small songs better, most the time I can say what I want in a verse or two..this could be written a little better I think..I have a couple more of these and then I stop drag`n Mike around, and give him a little break....lol
hey Dave i`m going to put a little song in lyrics board, see what you think, what you`d add or takeaway I you want.

Hi Calvin! I thought the song moved along, and the harmonies are way cool in this, the song is what Mike makes it, I think the writing is a little " lean. Hey went over and listened to that song, nice work I "liked it on your page, but couldn`t comment, i`m not a member there..thanks Cal for giving this a listen... Lane

Yes Mike does a great job.
A couple of things: I wish there was a pause after "that girl's or "she's just".
The lyric bothered me because I was looking for continuity. Advance the story. For example; she's on a boat, then she's on the outside of town. Couldn't they see her in a harbour or port? The bridge is "off". Sail or drive? Great spot to further the story.
Good stuff needs some polish.

Hi 9ne..thats so true, I do these little songs...I forget who said it but " songs fly by and once in a while you can catch one.
I`m telling you sometimes I get out of bed, out of the shower, stop the car and write these little things down and a little track of what I`m hearing..if I don`t they fly by and I never see them again....lol but I can always have at them again like this.... so I`m agreeing with you here. I know they are short and just a flash but I `m ok with that...I have returned to some songs and finished them out a bit more. I`ll just leave them laying around for my kids...I remember when my Kids were interested in what there Dad was doing..now its my Grand kids.....lol those are some great ideas you left for me, and thank you for taking time to comment and listen..Lane

Mike, I don't think a breezy lyric hurts a song about a breezy girl, but I could be wrong; I love the line "every boy would love to have her back" in the bridge. I honestly had to smile and got goosebumps with every take of that line..
