Tumbleweed Christmas rewrite 3 V Everyone rushed to beat the snow fall While I just sat in a bar watching them all. now ive nobody to buy a Christmas present for anyway for a Tumbleweed, Christmas is just another day. V Juke box played yet another Christmas tune Well Bing, looks like your dream will come true Some of those songs start churning up old memories before I lost her and got carried off with the breeze C Tumbleweed Christmas drifting onto another place One more Sally Army band, kids with an expectant ( or excited)look on their face Tumbleweed Christmas, find a room for the night Be a fool if I didn't confess- Wish I had someone special to hold so tight ( or tonight) B1 Least I'm not one of those guys who sits staring into his beer I know a thousand people- pity they ain't all here. We could all share this Christmas Eve End it with that familiar line- Been good talking to you buddy. it's late. Good night, then they leave before closing time V Odd when the festive season comes around feeling sentimental walking round a strange town Christmas lights flashing in every shop window People dashing but all of them with places to go B2 I swear she's still here, get a grip boy or you'll cry Caught here for a second in the corner of my eye Or watching from my shadow walking behind. Two Tumbleweeds , maybe one day united for all time Chorus
---------------------------- Tumbleweed Christmas V Everyone rushed around to beat the snow fall While I just sat in a bar watching them all no one to buy a Christmas present anyway for a Tumbleweed, Christmas is just another day. V Someone selected another Christmas tune Well Bing, looks like your dream will come true soon For guys like me Christmas will happen while i leave Cotton wool or cotton candy? Not for Tumbleweed C Tumbleweed Christmas rolling into another place Another Salvation Army band, More children with a happy face Tumbleweed Christmas find a room for the night Be a fool if I didn't confess Wish I had someone special now to hold so tight B1 Least I'm not one of those guys who sits staring into his beer I know a thousand people- pity they ain't all here. We could all share this Christmas Eve End it with that familiar line- Been good talking to you buddy. it's late. Good night, then they leave V Odd when the festive season comes around feel sentimental walking round a strange town Christmas lights flashing in every shop window People dashing but all of them with places to go B2 Sometimes I think she's with me I swear she was there, caught for a second in the corner of my eye Or there in a shadows walking behind Tumbleweeds but one day we'll be united for all time Chorus
---------------------------------------------' TUMBLEWEED CHRISTMAS V My pony somehow knows When clouds fill with snow As the east wind knaws my fingers to the bone but thankfully we're nearing home
V Been a long journey back to that small mountain shack Boy listen to that lonesome coyote call sounds like he's dreading that snow fall
Pre c But not me on this Christmas Eve blanket of white just like those Christmas cards I'm looking forward to see C No Tumbleweed Christmas soon see the lights of home A place missed so much On all the roads travelled on I've a drifter, no more Rolling stone has come home for sure No Tumbleweed Christmas, won't drift past my door B Daddy would have chopped down a tall Christmas tree waiting for my return to decorate with all my family V Loving arms to welcome happy tears from mom It's such a long time since I tried to move on couldn't forget where I came from
Chorus

Travis,
This has a Robert Frost feel to it—you set the mood early and well. A tune with a lot of potential. Love the "Tumbleweed Christmas" theme and concept--really serves as the backbone of the tune. There are some opportunities--as we all have when we put pen to paper--for refinement in word choice and rhythm. But you’ll work that out as you always seem to do. I'll be looking forward to the end result.
Best regards,
Deej

Hey Travis! that song is so well written, I always liked traditional music, and you and Vic do so well...I left a comment in the mp3 board for Vic too. again great job. Lane
