Every so often, it does you good to write something silly - and they don't come much sillier than this.

Hi Gavin.
Does the heart good to write a silly song now and again.

Vic

It's never too late? Yes it is, so do it now.

If, given time, a monkey can write the complete works of Shakespeare maybe there's hope for me.

Gavin--

Nothing wrong with tattos or dropping pants--It's the shoes that get left BEHIND under the wrong bed--SHOES DON"T LIE!

Not really silly if true!

Write on!

Mackie

Sounds like you are speaking from experience there, Mackie smile Must have been quite a night for you to forget to put your shoes on in the morning.

Fun idea for a song, I'd bet this will get some cheers when played live!

Thanks Kolstad. Yes, it would probably be best in a live set, maybe as a bit of comic relief between more serious numbers. The chorus kind of lends itself to singing along by the audience. Besides, it's quite long at 5:44.

Very very very cute Gavin. And the second Daisy was from Abilene. Gotta love that.
Very nice combination of song, story and comedy. Perfect for an 11:30 audience.

Though, it's a little hard to believe that someone in your band actually did that. wink

Hi Gavin,

Truly funny. The innocently recited parts are great, and perfect pitch isn't important on songs like these. I just saw a Showtime (Billions) series where a main character got a Yosemite Sam tatoo on a butt cheek and immediately went into "therapy" LOL..so I guess these drunken tatoo thingies run in cycles..

All in all, it's got a classic novelty song vibe, and it made me laugh hard. smile

Michael, surely you aren't implying that I don't have perfect pitch wink

Actually, I know that I can't really sing, which is why I quite like doing songs like this where you are basically talking along to a tune for large parts of it.

Thanks for listening and the kind words.

Humm,
This type of song can make it into a movie and make a few million bucks. Aw, humm, need a friend Gavin?

Don't know about a movie, Ray, but the video sure would be fun to make!
