...The 2nd Annual JPF "Virtual Telethon" begins:-) If anyone missed out on the bucket o' fun from the first one...And it truly was a blast!!!...Here is the link: http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthr...irtual-telethon-30-days.html#Post1117954It would be nice to not "need" a 2nd, so this is just me firing a friendly warning shot across the bow to remind everyone that the JPF Website/Forums is funded 100% by our donations. If ya look to the right, you'll find the Little Yellow Button that says "Donate"...No one needs to donate anything more than they can afford!!! If ya look at the top of every Forum, you'll see the "JPF Donations Honor Roll"...Oh, and Brian updates it as often as he can! The "Honor Roll" thread is interesting to scroll through, if for nothing more, than to see the total donations in any given year since around 2008... There are those who donate, faithfully, every year....Sadly, I haven't been one of those faithful ones, but I'm gonna be more diligent going forward! The donations hit a few years where the pickins were slim...So slim that for over a year, the Board hadn't been able to be updated to allow new FOlKs to join us, which was sad:-( But last year, everyone upped their game!!!! and now there are a bunch of new members whose voices can now be heard, which is really KEWL!!! Anyhoo...I'll bump this thread once a month for the next 332 days just as a friendly reminder that you don't hafta wait 'til the last minute and that we shouldn't rely on the person posting next to us. "We're all in this together":-) Midnite

Bump, as promiced....
"No, Midnite! "Promice" makes it sound like yer in favor of those little furry critters overrunning everything."
You're right, voices in my head....I'm not necessarily pro-mice, although my cats like 'em:-)
But enough about my spelling....
As PROMISED!
Here come da bump...

Thimbly-timbly-dickory-doc.
October 18th starts the clock....
...When there will be a month-long, 2nd Annual "Little Yellow Button" "Virtual Telethon" starting...
I won't have the same amount of time and energy this year as I had last year, but will, with ya'll's help, try to keep it as entertaining as possible to keep JPFolksters "tuning" in....
I have an idea or two, but welcome any and all thoughts!!!!!!!
Last year, I ran the "Illegal in 50 States" gamut....And it ended somewhere around Kansas....Shall we continue with that?...
OR!!!!
Shall we do an on-going, "movies & music trivia" Thingie....With questions along the lines of: In the movie "Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band": Who played The Weather Vane?....Hint: Billy Preston.....Personally, I like that idea, because we can all challenge our grey cells and hopefully keep JPF'ers dropping in until they find the Little Yellow Button:-)
OR!!!!
The next "Or" is wide open for suggestions....

Coming soon, to a JPF Forum near you...A Forum that is only a small part of what JPF does, but every little 'Yellow Button' helps to keep this goin'. Commence countdown 'til our next bundle of fun begins...:-))

Thanks Bob. It's been a very light year so far, and we're still paying for the upgrades from last year (we raised about 20% of the eventual cost). It would be nice to bring in a bit more to help. I used our family vacation money to do the upgrades, so it would be nice to get a bit of it back towards next year.
