This is one of the first Country songs I ever wrote. Its a male and female duet about motorcycles and relationships. All Roads Lead Back to You and Me

The music and the singing were done quite professionally. The lyrics were ok but performed well. I can see me getting up and dancing to this tune! Overall I think it was a fun song about priorities and love!

Hi arealrush - Thanks!
I wanted to write one that was about lighthearted fun AND getting the folks in the bars up and dancin'!
Admittedly I was very much a newbie at writing Country lyrics at that time.
This was written and recorded many years ago!

Hi Calvin -
It has been so many years since this was written and recorded that I don't remember much about it!
Except I do remember the sheer agony of going from writing primarily heavy guitar-oriented alternative rock songs to trying to write Country music and lyrics!
That was like, ARGH!

Toby,
Loved the sound of this. Very country and very contemporary. The lyrics aren't the strongest I've heard from you (and neither are my early songs--or actually my current songs for that matter!), but the sound is so strong, I'd encourage you to revisit. It's a fun listen. Thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Deej

Hey Deej - Thanks! Yeah, this is one of dozens upon dozens of songs in the "revisit-able" pile. :-)
There are lines in this song which could be easily improved, other projects are ahead of that though!
Back when I wrote this I was used to writing really "abstract" lyrics and alternative music.
In alternative music genres it's completely okay to be abstract. In Country lyric writing, I find that there are limitations which essentially require coming up with new twists on old cliches' and there is little room for being abstract(unless it is alt-Country or Americana, etc.).

Cool stuff. I feel like this song should be in a movie.
This would be a fun song to dance to, here in a bar, etc. It makes me think of pretty blondes and jean shorts!
The female vocalist has a beautiful voice.

Good title. Very danceable. Very traditional. Well executed. Enjoyed the vintage guitar twang. Nice song Toby.

Hey BlakeAllyn - Its kind of interesting in that, although this song has never been released in anyway (except in my little lyric video demo), I have seen the reaction of people when it was performed live years back in various small bars, country joints, redneck taverns, LOL.
I mean EVERYBODY winds up dancing to it!
Under a microscope yes, I would love to change a few lines in the lyrics of the demo.
But the world doesn't have to have perfect songs everywhere! And pitching opps have been so impossibly rare that I have never chosen to do anything with the song.
Yeah the female singer's voice is so sweet and she actually has a great little southern drawl.

Hey Martin - Thanks!
Yeah on the songs I am currently working on I am backing way off chasing sleek production demos and focusing more on raw, guitar driven twang again!
