If so, here's my offering:

The Muppets:

"Mahna Mahna"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N_tupPBtWQ

A song that also addresses the ancient question: What is most important? Lyrics, melody or a hook?

Feel free to insert yer silliness here:-)

Okeedokee-artichokee...

I'll go with the Muppet flow..."Lime in the coconut"...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EoOVvGV_aQ

As silly as they are, every song is treated with R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Here's one of mine, Bob. It's about a male praying mantis getting ready to go out on his first big date. He realizes a son might result but he won't be around to tell him the facts of life so he writes his prospective son a letter just in case the date is successful. It's called "It's a Dinner Date."

I most definitely need a silliness break. smile

Monty Python's songs are pretty silly:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgaRd4d8hOY

"The Lumberjack Song" is maybe their silliest and is always good for a few laughs. wink

Hey Mike Z,

Do ya think "The Lumberjack Song" may have influenced Martin Mull when he wrote "Men"?

Here is the clip from "Fernwood Tonight", where Mr. Mull, with Jerry Willard, first introduced the song....I know there's an official video, but ya know, sometimes ya like to get right down to the origins:-)

Absolutely hilarious, Little Stevie!!!!

Before I listened to it, I thought it would just be a Praying MAntis' letter to his son, and was gonna respond by asking if you did a follow-up song about the Black Widow???

But then I listened and my question became...ummm...silly:-)

THANKS!!!!

Funny you should say that, Everett. Not to get too far off topic, but are you familiar with the Albert King blues song Drowning on Dry Land? Have a listen, especially the end.

Here;s a little ditty that pretty much opened every door for me in Nashville. It's a song I wrote with my mentor, Ron Muir, in Birmingham, before I moved to Nashville .Me playing the song at a quarter to one in the morning at a club with three people in it, led to my first cut on Shelby Lynne and led to a million things, that have made my career .Still play it from time to time.

This version is done by guitar legend THOM BRESH, who recorded it for one of his albums. Thom's dad. Merle Travis, wrote 16 TONS, and Thom is one of the most renown players in the world. Was Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins' favorite guitar player. This was done at the LA NAMM show in 2009.

Ok Gang...

I've gotta toss this in...

Not just because it's silly, but because it's fun....And because anyone who has done some hard-traveling with a band will be able to hear the voices in the background.

Sometimes, there are "magical" moments, totally unplanned....

"When the Saints go Marching In" played for a pasture full of cows...

Trust me on this:-)
