A song shouldn't bore you anywhere in the song, if it does, it needs a rewrite.

If you see songwriters who charge for critiques, or write books on songwriting, this idea comes up a lot A lot of hit songs are all about the chorus. A lot of aerosmiths commercial stuff, the verses were unforgettable. But I do agree, in terms of songwriting as an art that's a different thing. I wasn't sure if he was asking for music that starts without an intro, or music that stars with chorus, I mentioned a mix of both

Still, I'm taking a moment to challenge the old cliche, nevertheless .

Led Zeppelin "Black Dog". I don't know if this fits in the category but the structure of the song is unusual. Intro..intro..intro..guitar solo..bridge..intro.. intro..bridge..intro..intro..intro..guitar solo..bridge..intro..intro..bridge..guitar solo..the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBuub4Xe1mw

That's a a really cool song Todd. Speaking of led Zeppelin... What is and what should never be starts with plants leading in the music https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EJESRIJJu2E

Two mega hits around y2k alternative rock, they both start right out with the. Chorus. Gotta admit, this was one song on the radio I was really excited about at the time. Just high energy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MpdfrUJUgs4 The other is by stone sour, which I also liked quite a bit https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6Keeqf5dCMw

Had to figure The Doors with the poetry probably had a song or two that start with no intro https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bU1sLx1tjPY

That reminds me of a story about a guy in the choir who wanted to sing a solo. The director said "Don't Boris, get to the chorus".
