Hi Everyone.........Apologies for being a bit absent....I haven't recorded anything for over a year; but, I got busy with this one over the weekend, and I guess it's ready to show All comments are welcome, and first impressions are most appreciated. Thanks, in advance.................. -Tom She’s In LoveBy Tom Tognacihttp://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13520238Forty-five more miles to go This old freight train’s moving way too slow She’s in love She’s in love ……..with someone else The sound of steel has a lonesome bite Crawling up my back on this winter’s night She’s in love She’s in love ……..with someone else I got out two days ago From a jail in Ohio Heading for the place I once called home I hang my hope on my Loretta But she only wrote me one letter Calling for the day when I come home The northern lights are a mystery And there’s no solace in their company She’s in love She’s in love ……..with someone else I’m so tired of being lonely I’d call home, if I could only Know for sure that she’d be there alone Now, all I have is my Loretta And the words written in this letter Calling for the day that I come home And I’m coming home.

Hi Tom,
I really like the speed up on the intro with the train pulling out of the station and picking up speed. Only nit I have is you could have shortened the intro some and still have gotten the same effect. 35 seconds is a long time to get into the song/vocal. I kept waiting for the vocal to start. Other than that it's really strong all around. The hoo hoo hoo in your voice sounds like a steam locomotive's lonesome whistle. Lots of good stuff in there with the sound effects and they aren't too over the top. Nice. By the way, why the new moniker, Iron Knee? Have you gone "injun" on us. Just kidding Good stuff.

This is stellar. Love the lyrics--there's a lot of unsaid story and emotion behind the lines that intrigues, and that the melody and rhythm accentuates. Really well done.

Wow, I like this a lot Tom. Good tune! Love the drive and guitar work...Everything! It might be a personal preference, but I would take the harmonica volume down a bit, especially when it first comes in. Don't get me wrong man, that harmonica sounds good, but it might be a tad strong at the start. Awesome work, I fanned ya too.

Tom,
It is always good to see you around. I don't get here as often as I used to as well. Hey love this, especially the vibe. One small sug--I'd pan the harmonica about 50-60% right so as not to supersede or compete with your lead vox so much--JMHO.
Nice song!

Good to hear a new one from you, Tom! Lots of emotion in the lyric and sense of urgency in the music, not to mention the lonesome train whistle, all very effective.

This one's just up my street, Tom. Love the atmosphere.
Before I listened I wondered how you were going to deal with the lyrics. It was a nice surprise.

Vic Thanks for stopping by, Vic......Did you not care for the lyrics, as they stood without the benefit of the music? Just wondering ;-) Thanks again.... And thanks to all who have listened! -Tom

Hi Tom:
The song continues a "freight train" vibe made popular years ago when ""the age of steam" was in full-bloom. I enjoyed your performance and agree with Martin on many of the lines in the lyric. Unless you are able to get this into the hands of a Super-Star Folk Singer... it will be a "tough-sell" in Nashville or other music centers today. I wish otherwise but it's just the way things are today. Who knows... in a few years, things may come "full-circle." Best of luck with it. Enjoyed your vocal as well. ----Dave

I'm not trying to "sell" my music............nobody ever cared (except me...and the others, like you, that listen to the grass roots music of our times). Nashville doesn't need me....and I lose no sleep over it. God bless Nashville. -Tom
