I'm willing to guess most here have never heard of this guy, I hadn't until somebody at a bar mentioned him. I've never been a metal fan, metal shredders were not my style, but I have to say this guy is the most unique, technical, clean, master shredder I have ever heard. And I don't even like the music! I just can't deny his talent, when prince died everybody was talking about his guitar chops going unoticed. This guy probably is the least famous best guitar shredder I have ever known about. He gets his name from wearing a Kentucky fried chicken bucket on his head, I can do without the gimmick stuff, but it's amazing to me he is not a household name like Eddie van halen Hendrix or any famous player, he's probably better than all as far as technique, I can't imagine anybody being cleaner Not only that, but he can play other styles too, like bluegrass and jazz. He can also play slap bass like nobodies business, but don't take my word for it, look at this freak go! Try to judge on talent and skill, not on taste of music https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MTqnhCpMjz0https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uMl2XopsfA4,

He has been around for a long time, he was even in guns'n'roses for a spell. I've seen a lot of his videos in the past. I never could "hang" with them though. Just not my thing. Talented, yes. I think he released an album every day on bandcamp last year (or something like that). Just checked wikipedia. From 2013 - 2016 he released 31, 60, 118 and 20 CDs!!!
Side note: Not really a banjo, it is a 6-string guitar.

I was amazed how long he has been around, I guess I dint listen to metal music or stations at all,and don't read metal related materials
But he is clearly more than just a metal shredder he is quite an innovator. And I k ow, how many people have over 100 albums released, and he's still a young guy
I read that Ozzie osbourne wanted him to go on tour with him, if he would take off the fin bucket off his head. He refused.
Ozzie said I wanted to call, him by his real name, to which bucket head said, only my mother calls me that.
Hence he was one of those insanely talented eccentrics!

Yeah, he even had a column in Guitar Player Magazine back in the 80s, if memory serves. A helluva player.

There is a lot of unknown talent you never hear of. Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant was a bit earlier but also played some mean music.
