I didn't go there because of security concerns. Sadly with the impossible to parse user agreements on all the software and website services people have just about given away any semblance of control of their music and in many cases have given it away for others to make money on in perpetuity and throughout the universe.. meaning forever your stuff will be exploited without you ever getting a penny, but in some cases others making massive fortunes, especially in the collective sense (i.e. the fact that CD Baby and Facebook and YouTube (and on and on) have these massive collections of intellectual properties and the power to do whatever they want (there's no bigger infringer on copyrights than the collective user base and the owners of YouTube in world history and believe it or not, they're one of the honest sites... imagine all the myriad scam artists who can cash in all sorts of ways without paying anyone a penny. It's simply miserable.
So no, never heard of the site nor the .uno domain (some company likely bought it from some third world country who needed the cash, though I have no idea if that happened for sure in this specific case, it happens a lot). So, you should do something with the music there that would generate earnings and see if they pay you. I wouldn't hold your breath.

Thanks for your insight Brian. I think this site is probably an off-shoot from one of my film libraries. I do get paid for streaming and personal use sales from a couple libraries. Norton didn't give me any warnings when I navigated this website. So it's probably safe. Best, John

Norton didn't give me any warnings when I navigated this website. So it's probably safe. Best, John But the problem with these third and fourth and fifth party sites, it becomes impossible for you to ever audit, in any meaningful way, whether or not money generated by these sites will ever reach you in the numbers you are entitled to. And they all know it. So they create these sites outside of their own to exploit the crap out of the catalog with almost zero risk of having to pay fair money for the usage. It's scammy. I think it may require a congressional act to protect rights holders from all third party uses of their property without specifically and by name give permission for each one. I think CD Baby has a check off list for who you want to share your music with, but they can't police when a site you approve of launches multiple third party and beyond companies and takes your music with them without asking you. And by that time, you'll never see the money you're owed and likely the cost of legally pursuing it would cost thousands of times more than what you are owed and they know that. So they can keep 10 dollars from you and 500K other artists each year and perhaps face one lawsuit (if that) a year where they will immediately remove your stuff, settle for a couple hundred bucks at most and keep the millions they made illegally (or legally due to sleazy abuse of user agreements) and laugh all the way to the bank. On top of that, the real money is still big data, so they're really collecting that, but this added bonus of free use music makes that money possible. Most music sites make their money from big data, not the music. Brian

Yes, we have to rely on a music library’s integrity. A few of my libraries have detailed accounting. Sending you a PM of one library’s streaming accounting Brian (don't want to display it publicly). But yeah, there could always be two sets of books. No guarantees. Never is in any dealings with humans. John

My faith and trust in the Internet and our own Government is at an all-time low. I continue to receive notices from a company based in LA claiming to be able to use my songs (recorded and vocalized by me) in keeping with current applicable copyright law... as they interpret it. My disagreement is that they are not choosing to have their artist do a "cover" of my song(s)... they intend to use my own version. That is not how the law is intended to work. Any advice Brian?
Merry Christmas,
----Dave

Merry Christmas,
----Dave Not sure what you're saying Dave... This company wants to use your recording of your song? Sounds like a film music library. Did they send you a contract? Best, John

Merry Christmas,
----Dave Dave, Sorry, I just saw this. I'd have to know a lot more about this start to finish to even have an opinion beyond suggesting if you've never agreed to any site terms and posted music on line, I doubt their claims are legit. If you HAVE done that (and most people have) then unfortunately anything COULD be possible, but I need a lot more details. Brian
