I took a bit of time away from this site, but excited to be back!

This is a song I just recorded with my band The Undercoats. would love your opinions!c any at all!!!

I have to preface the intro on the song....being Pennsylvania dutch I decided to open the song with two fisherman and some dutchy dialog....

Im just a worm from your backyard
your girl's at home, loves getting dark
she's still hooked on you and before you hook me too
theres just one thing left for you to do

save the worm, go get the girl
put down that rod and reel and hook her world
save the worm, go get the girl
go back and tackle what she craves, save the worm

thought you had to catch a fish to call this fishing?
been out here since six, but what you're missing
is there will come a day when she catches someone elses bait
so please please let me crawl away

save the worm, go get the girl
put down that rod and reel and hook her world
save the worm, go get the girl
go back and tackle what she craves, save the worm

its a matter of love and death you see
cause i just seen the big one under that old tree

save the worm, go get the girl
put down that rod and reel and hook her world
save the worm, go get the girl
go back and tackle what she craves, save the worm

Enjoyed the listen, Charlie. Your band has a good tight sound. Well done.

Great sound Charlie, and a cute song. Personally, I can't relate because my hubby takes me with him when he goes fishing. grin

I really enjoyed your song--nice sound for sure musically! Not real sure about what you're really saying lyrically, but it flows real nice, and has a comedic feel especially with the intro.

I love me some good southern rock!

Solid instrumentals and vocals, and the production is pretty good as well.

My only critique is that the drum part is a bit helter skelter. I like the shuffle-sync going on but at some point I want the drums to really lock (like during the chorus) and bring home the bacon. This would provide some nice contrast in the song and take it to the next level, in my opinion.

Cool tune overall, and a nice job!

If it has strings I will find a way to play it!

Like Mike said "Little Feat!"

I love the loose (in a good way) feel to it. Made us smile and oughta please worms also smile

Enjoyed it!

Lowell George was one of my biggest influences in many ways. I also go heavy into the meters too. Glad you heard that! thanks for the listen!

Just Plain Quotes
"A lot of people will tell you that preparation is what will make you successful. But I think that people misunderstand exactly what that means sometimes. The type of preparation you need most is the kind that allows you to instantly seize an opportunity, change your course based on a momentary circumstance, and grab hold of the totally unexpected when it happens, and allow it to take you for the ride of your life! That is the kind of preparation that can lead to the most enjoyable type of success." -Brian Austin Whitney
