Still Looking Good (Kurt Fortmeyer/Roy Holdren) Dad Zone Music ASCAP/Flatbilly Songs ASCAPThe first time I saw you I thought I'd better take a chance My suspicions were confirmed once I took a second glance Since that time I've been blind to every other woman but you And you still turn my head every time you walk in the room I'm a lucky lucky man who has a hard time believing it's true What's the odds of me winning the heart of somebody like you Can't take my eyes off the prize and I wouldn't even if I could I'm still looking and you're still looking good I know you don't see it but you make me do a double take I wipe off my glasses to be certain there is no mistake A more beautiful version of that younger girl I once knew You're a sight to behold and I love to be holding you I'm a lucky lucky man who has a hard time believing it's true What's the odds of me winning the heart of somebody like you Can't take my eyes off the prize and I wouldn't even if I could I'm still looking and you're still looking good I'm still looking and you're still looking good Yeah you're still looking good

Cool/clever, and just like always, an enjoyable performance. Good luck in all you do.

Thanks, Tom. After years of using a pick, I have recently started pursuing a pick-free approach. I was noticing that I seldom used a pick at home, but would always use one when I played in front of people, so I thought I would try a change in technique. Earlier this month I did my first full-length (2 hour) show without a pick. I think I'm converted. I get some great gigs, but they're all hundreds of miles away from home. Nashville is a crazy place. Kurt

Well Kurt If you ever get a gig in or near Harrisonburg,Virginia-in the Shenandoah Valley where I eventually returned to-you got a free place to stay buddy.....Let me know.. No reason to make the hotel chains richer than they already are. I SUSPECT you need to keep all the money you can-am I right? LOL PS-You can even bring a woman-they are always welcome at my place......Which doubles as a shelter for abused women/emergency shelter for single women in severe weather-and whatever other way I can get em in here Tom

Cool concept. I remember wanting to ask you how much one of your demo cost.... but I see... I lost my shirt in the record business. it's still way above my pay grade. You're still making this songwriting thing look too easy.

I can trade you a woman for a place to spend the night? Let me see if I have any extras laying around. I would love to play up in that beautiful part of the country.

True stories can be that way. I remember wanting to ask you how much one of your demo cost.... but I see... I lost my shirt in the record business. it's still way above my pay grade. Mine too, mostly. You're still making this songwriting thing look too easy. Looks can be deceiving. Thanks for checking it out.

Good hook, Kurt, and an easy song to listen to. Even my hair was never that long.
