Yeah that is pretty cool. But I wonder how many people will read this article and how many will seek out his music? I'll go look him up on YouTube but I suspect a lot of people will just have a laugh at the Picture and say that's cool and then move on to something else. People have a short attention span. Thanks for the link Barry. I'll go check him out.

I Just thought his set up was cool. I posted a song here "I'M A STAR IN CENTRAL PARK"... I played in many parks and beaches and it's fun and the tips are good. I don't think this guy has any illusions of making it...BUT who knows... Thanks for stopping by... Barry

That's pretty inventive. I bet he can get a lot of tips playing at the right spot. Probably do it until he old and grey (and beyond). I occasionally see someone busking in St. Pete, but when we went on vacation to Asheville, NC last year, buskers were everywhere, all day and night. Usually there was a fair amount of money in the tip jar. Often, the buskers were really good.

We've been busking for 40 years on both coasts, so basically, we've been thrown out of a lot of places. There used to be a guy in San Francisco (circa 1970) who called himself "The Human Jukebox". He had this huge, multicolored cardboard box with a slot for money in the front. People would request a song, and he would play and sing it from the box; either on guitar or banjo. He also did stand-up. He was really good, and I never saw anybody stump him. The little kids absolutely loved it! The guy was literally printing money.

He must have had a photographic memory to know all those songs.WOW. On of the best parts of busking is that your audience is always turning over. Typically, they will stop for a few songs, then move on. So, you really don't need a large repertoire. You've usually got a demographic of about 2 to 92 though, so you better have some stuff from every era! Regards, Bob

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
