Hi folks, I thought I'd help Dave out by posting this new demo I just completed for him. We hope you enjoy it! Thanks.. https://soundcloud.com/michael-zaneski-1/trailer-trashTrailer Trash I heard you think I'm trailer trash But baby when your blue eyes flash My daydreams make my ego crash And baby won't you dance with me I know..I live across the tracks And bring my lunch in paper sacks My ride's a worn out Pontiac Still baby won't you dance with me Somebody said you think I'm cute But deep down you don't give a hoot If only I had lots of loot I think you just might dance with me The dance is ending so I better go That last song always seems a little slow But honey, I just gotta know I hope you say you'll dance with me Baby won't you dance with me Won't you dance with me *********************************************************** Music and Lyrics by Dave Rice Copyright (C) 2016 Dave Rice All Rights Reserved

Just a brief note to express my appreciation to Mike for his unique Producing and Vocalizing abilities. The song expresses the hope that a kid from across the tracks might be able to achieve the unattainable goal of acceptance with a girl above his station in life. Mike's expressive vocals are an absolute treasure.
Thanks, Pal... for all your dedication and hard work. ----Dave

Michael & Dave, I like it. The lyrics remind me of a more innocent time and the music harkens back to the '50s. It's a real cool sound and you do a real smooth vocal on it. Real good collaboration, guys.

Hi Dan:
Thanks for listening. It was an "innocent time" when I asked that snooty girl to dance... LOL! She turned me down but I got over it!
Love those harmonies Zaneski can render so flawlessly.
Best, ----Dave

Thanks, John:
I had to dig deep to remember the "rebuff" I got from that Prom Queen so long ago... and Mike sure "brought it" as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for taking time to listen, Pal. ----Dave

What a great listen!
Had a feeling I was hearing a long lost Paul Anka record. Great sound!

Hi James:
Mike is going to get totally "out of control" after being compared to Don Henley. Thanks for your nice comments. We are grateful that you listened and commented. ----Dave

Hi Floyd:
I'm not sure that I've had a nicer comment on my lyrics... and coming from you, that is "high praise" and I sure appreciate it. Mike's production and vocals really add polish to a song. So glad you took the time to listen. ----Dave

Michael, you did an awesome job on this! Just came back for second listen and noticed it was a song you did for Dave so I wanted to edit my post and give Dave his due for a really fine write!
What a cool, distinctively original melody! The vocals and the overall vibe reminds me of early Eagles tunes; the pre Joe Walsh period that is. Awesome song!
Tom

With that title, I was expecting some twang. This is a whole lot better. Nice write and cool production. The way it's written, the title screams Dance With Me but Trailer Trash is an attention grabber and so much catchier. Well done all around.

Dan, Calvin, John, James, Floyd, Mike, Martin, Jimmy, Tom, and Ricki.. Hi everyone, and thanks for listening, and it truly makes me happy knowing you enjoyed listening. Dave makes it so easy for me in that the demos he gives me to listen to are fully wrought, pretty decent demos in their own right, and I get to pick and choose what ideas to use, and the extra creative freedom to add my own creative "voice" to the music as well. The Fats Domino kind of "triplets in four-four sound" (aka 12/8) does remind one of bygone eras, and my harmonies are kind of "Western Swing" in retrospect to me, and the organ is the BIAB reggae organ, but I was pleased and thought these various style sources worked together nicely. James, I love Don Henley and appreciate that comparison. Floyd, despite "You're Having My Baby" (which I still think can work with a humble performed folk-ish sound, not the pompous sounding hit recording), I've always admired Paul Anka as a writer and performer. And lastly, thanks Dave. It never feels like "hard work" producing these little gems. Mike

Hi Tom:
Thanks for being so observant and for taking the time to come back for another listen. So far, Mike has done eight demos for me and I'm torn about this one being the best to my ears. When you deal with an artist who is also a producer, the problem of judging the "product" is compounded. One thing is certain... this man (Mike Zaneski) is very close to being a musical genius.
Makes me very humble to see what he does with my songs.
Regards, ----Dave

Hi Ricki:
The title, thrown into the first line, is supposed to make the potential listener even more anxious to give it a spin. Your songwriting instincts are amazing and I briefly considered "Dance with Me" as the "label" of the song... but there are several other songs with that same name and I opted for "Trailer Trash."
Thanks for listening and for sharing your thoughts. ----Dave

Hi Dave: (The Handsome one!)
So glad you took time to drop by and spin Mike's excellent work. Regarding that "Prom Queen"... I already have my revenge... she weighs 300 pounds and looks like a Gorilla... LOL! Hmmm... I feel another song coming on! Aw heck, that one's already been written!
I sure appreciate your comments.

Thanks for taking time to listen to Mike's fantastic interpretation of my song. He "made it his own" and that is such a well hidden talent few can master. Your comment means a great deal to both of us.

Hey Jim:
You can bet your bottom dollar this guy has more on his mind than dancing. I thought Zaneski "sold the song" with style and panache we don't experience often today. Thanks for listening and commenting. ----Dave

Hi John:
Thanks for listening... and for your insightful comment. You bet, the listener is supposed to hope this guy ends up getting a dance. B-T-W... congratulations on the outstanding play of the Canadian Volleyball Men's team who soundly trounced the U.S. team in Rio. An impressive win. ----Dave

Well that takes us back (well a bit further for Bud than Janice ) Got a bit of Don Henley in that vocal...maybe because we've been listening to his latest and are big fans. Yeah it's got that late 50's early 60's slow dance thing and that's cool and on top of that the write is exponentially better than what I remember from those old songs. The production is spot on. The style is nailed and the vocals are amazingly supportive of the feel. Simply sounds wonderful on our monitors. A SoundCloud playlist keeper for sure! J&B

Hey there, J & B:
So pleased you gave "Trailer Trash" a spin. You are the second comment about Don Henley... and I'll bet Mike is one happy camper to hear that. Thanks for your support and high praise. He makes it sound so easy! ----Dave

Hey Guys,
Unfortunately, summer a very busy time for me,thus I'm not around quite as much--so here a little late! I won't get everyone's songs I've missed!
Loved this song Dave, might be my fav of yours. This vibe really also fit Mikey-Zee's vocals quite well--I get the Don Henley comparison, though Mike you have a little more tenderness IMO. Hey nice work, I have no nits, although I'd like a little more "cowbell"..................

Hey Eddie:
Thanks for the spin and super-nice comments. More cowbell is now very high on my "to do" list... LOL!
Zaneski is going to be difficult to deal with in the future... that's three "Henleys" he has received lately. He is something special, isn't he!
