Hi All,

I have not posted here in quite a while - thought I would share a new song - somewhat of a blend of folk, vintage beatbox, and laid back RnB. The inspiration comes from an old friend with a real zest for life and moving forward.

This is called [size:14pt][color:#3366FF]I Can't Imagine A World Without Me.

Thanks for listening!

Bob

I think there is a bit of Bob Dylan in this song! Good lyrics and sounds. Nice job.

Bob,

Like everything about this. Wonderful imagery - cool lyric all around.

The music works perfectly. The organ/percussion combination with the occasional sax - very original sounding. And the mix is excellent.

Nice vocal.

A great listen

Hi Bob,

I liked your song too. Sounds like your done with production, but should you ever re-visit this song, I think a "Bridge" in this song would be effective in breaking the story in half, you might lose the 2nd sax solo, but I think it would be less predictable and strengthen the song's return after bridge. I'm not saying it is imperative or that all songs need bridges--I just think this song is "perfect" for one--and it should be a dramatic statement as well.

I really enjoyed your song, and good seeing you around!

Hi Bob,

Very catchy and cool! I like the half sung half spoken vocals sound here, and the production is simple and effective.

Great work!
Mike

I like this one, Bob. I got a bit of whiplash between Bob Dylan and Lou Reed, but in a good way of course.

Some of your references like "That Girl" and Steinem might be lost on anyone over 50 but maybe you're seeking out a more mature age group? Just wondering. Very cool sound over all.

OH, someone bumped up an old post, but I was hoping to say "hi" to you and I really enjoyed the production and rhythm of this, not your usual, but it works, always love giving you a listen!

Hi Bob: (or would you prefer Robert?)

I agree with the others. Catchy and a bit "Dylanesque"... and that is a compliment. Looking forward to hearing more from you here at JPF. Thanks for sharing. ----Dave

Nice groove, lyrics, good work! But, as a man of 65 years, I can easily follow the song, but what about the youngin's about? They'll have to google some stuff, but better they should, eh?

Hi Robert,

I enjoyed listening to your song very much. It has a certain quality about it that holds ones attention.

As a writer of lyrics more than a singer songwriter I thought that they were catchy and held ones attention to the end. A good write.

Hey Bob. Cool tune. Your voice reminds me somewhat of Paul Simon.
