Hi Mark, This is definitely one of my FAVORITE Beatle songs and I'm totally impressed at what you all did. When I saw it posted, I knew from the quality of your work I was about to have a pleasant experience. Thank you for filling my head with beautiful music. Thanks JPFolks! This was done just for the sake of doing it, by a diverse group of players who enjoy getting inside the full experience of a classic song once in awhile. The strings are all played on cello by Olivia Quintanilla, someone I met by putting out a Facebook request for a cello player. She has a cello that was built in the 1860s, and it was a joy to hear in my living room as we slowly recorded all the parts, even violin parts, sometimes pitch-shifting an octave higher after she played it. So much fun. We were in Minneapolis, Greg in New York, Norm and Bryan in Seattle and Rob in North Carolina. All over the map! Collabs are fun.

Not trying to hijack the thread. I, too, just finished a cover of Walrus so the band can add it to our set list. It may be heard here: http://www.badbetsy.com/coversTricky little song with a mouthful of tongue twisting lyrics. I mean “Crabalocker fish wife, pornographic priestess” Sssheesh! Mark and the gang did an outstanding job recreating the feel and all the little “extra’s” that made Walrus a fantastic song. Great job.

Fantastic! One of my favorite Beatles tunes. I can remember hearing it for the first time and thinking, "this is a game changer". I'll bet that was a blast! What's next? Scott
