There is a HUGE Fight for the Soul of America as seen in The Donald's Candidacy and Brooklyn Bernie. The status quo has screwed us forever and the gig is up. Brooklyn and Queens WHO would have thunk it. You just can't make this stuff up.

Bernie Sanders classifies himself as a Democratic Socialist. And that scares me. John

Aw, yes, If the crowds are any indication Trump will be the next President. He is getting attacked from the right and left. That means he has arrived!
Hillary is getting desperate and accusing the Republicans of helping Bernie. Bill who was not going to campaign for Hillary is now in full swing on the campaign trail.
Those three democrat candidates are kinda like the 3 Stooges meeting the Ghost of Christmas past. Or in other words, The Emperor has no clothes. A late Senator from Illinois used to say a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon we are talking real money. He didn't know how right he was!

Ha, If it is Bernie vs. Trump, I am voting for Bernie. Trump is just a demagogue and a megalomaniac. Go watch the Dead Zone movie from Stephen King -- that presidential candidate is Trump.
With Bernie in the white house and both houses of congress controlled by Republicans, I think it will be a pretty good draw.

Um, Well, With Bernie every thing is free. Who could ask for anything more! And if Bernie gets his way the 1930's will look like a Sunday Picnic!

I keep thinking about this song. It's an amazing piece of writing, Paul Simon hitchhiking with his girlfriend in the 60s. It's probably not at all what most people think of when they hear the stirring, anthemic refrain about all coming to look for America. It's really a roadtrip romance song that ends up describing isolation and emptiness in a land of love and abundance. Or something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W773ZPJhcVw"America" Let us be lovers, We'll marry our fortunes together. I've got some real estate Here in my bag. So we bought a pack of cigarettes, And Mrs. Wagner's pies, And walked off To look for America. "Kathy", I said, As we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh, Michigan seems like a dream to me now. It took me four days To hitch-hike from Saginaw. "I've come to look for America." Laughing on the bus, Playing games with the faces, She said the man in the gabardine suit Was a spy. I said, "Be careful, His bow tie is really a camera." "Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat." We smoked the last one An hour ago. So I looked at the scenery, She read her magazine; And the moon rose over an open field. "Kathy, I'm lost", I said, Though I know she was sleeping. "I'm empty and aching and I don't know why." Counting the cars On the New Jersey Turnpike The've all come To look for America, All come to look for America, All come to look for America.

Well!, I hope some of you have your Hip Boots on because the **** is getting deep in here! Now some of you don't understand any of this so you should just stay out of the Voting Booth next election.
While some of you either don't believe it or have just ignored it.For the last 100 plus years the Liberals, Progressives, and Communists have set the Agenda in the country. So, what do we have to show for it? First is the nearly 19 Trillion Dollar Federal Debt. Next is the highest Corporate Tax Rate in the World. Now Bernie wants to bust up Wall Street, of which will send the country back to the Stone Age, where in Bernie's World will make income equal, finally. However nobody will have any income so that problem is settled, no? Now Hillary says she isn't going to Tax the Middle Class. Who the hell is middle class anymore?
Because the Liberals, Progressives, Democrats and Communists are in charge a lot of businesses have moved off shore. Many that can't move have either gone out of business or cut their work force, or invoked the 29 hour work week an invention of the Liberals, Progressive, Democrats, and Communists.
Now it puzzles me that the Left can't see the folly of their ways. Today they make no pretense on raising taxes. Back when Walter Mondale was running against Ronald Reagan, he told the audience, He, meaning Reagan won't tell you he won't raises Taxes, but I just did. Of which reminds me of an saying HE WHO DOESN'T LEARN FROM THE PAST, IS BOUND TO REPEAT IT.
People out there are sick and tired of the Liberals giving the illegals benefits that the citizens can't even get. Can't think of a song that may fit the situation but one that may fit is HIT THE ROAD JACK. It's your country, or was, careful what you wish for, you just might get it!

No rhyming is why it's such an amazing lyric and beautiful melody. Surely one of Paul's Best Songs and He's had a boatload of them....This song gives me the chills.

Ad was part of a story on The Daily Show last night.
And yes, definitely a song I targeted early on when I was learning to play. Great combo of music and melody.
And the reason I think it works is because the music is constantly moving towards the musical hook, even in the middle section, where the music rises to "The moon rose over an open field".
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

I like how these lyrics have punctuation. If you take it all seriously, you can see how the quotation marks serve to show not only what's said but what is thought:
"Kathy", I said, As we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh, Michigan seems like a dream to me now.
It took me four days To hitch-hike from Saginaw. "I've come to look for America."
If he only says what's in quotations, then the non-quoted parts seem as if they were either narrated or thought...but when you hear the song, they are implied to be spoken to Kathy. Fun stuff.
