What with all the complaints about country not being country (myself included)...lately, I wonder at Brad paisley,Junior brown and ilk....what would they say to that?

Although I suspect that their managers and "team" would advise against such honesty:-)
Because I do believe, that most of the well known, current, country artists do have a sense of history. They all have roots that run a lot deeper than we give them credit for.
Just because the style has changed, doesn't mean that the roots have...So I tend to give' em a break, even if their music bores me to tears.

I think it is more about current production trends meeting current political correctness with impacts deeply all forms of communication and the arts in negative ways which manifest themselveds very differently depending on the outlet. Society has gone through a sea change unlike anything before in human history in a faster time frame than ever before. We'll hear, see, feel and notice the impact of it all over our lives forever going forward.
