Got on the plane to my island.... still another 50k North .... but it's all pretty much like this....coral reefs and small sandy islands.... View from the hotel, Vava'u mainland over the Port of Refuge... Met up with his Lordship, Minister of Lands at the Royal Nuku'alofa Club .... the only male gentleman's club left in the southern hemisphere....( but it's Ok ladies, there is a special ladies only bar, purpose built....) whose hospitality was wonderful and more than over generous to a new arrival... Walked past the Palace and had to take a shot of the Kings' RR .... Sought out some local cuisine ..... And a couple of lovely ladies who where the staff of a bar owner I know... yeah I know the skinny little white guy needs beefing up..... And out with the local guys who wouldn't let me buy a beer..... Now it's time to sit back and see where my position is on the liver transplant list. The friendly islands ? Oh heck, you bet. cheers, niteshift
