I have kicked around a number of lyrics for this piece. Still optimistic I'll come up with something... I started teaching myself piano about a year ago as a way to pluck out a few notes to accent my guitar tracks but have found I would like to develop that skill a bit more. Right now pretty much just hit keys that to me sound right and hope for the best! LOL! http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13250582

Tom, not sure why I can't get this to play, but know I stopped by and will try again later....hugs!
Tammy
AH HA!! I finally got it to play, I think Soundclick is trying to play games with me today...LOL!
I think that seeking out a melody and sounds is the perfect way to find your music, this sounds very lovely!
I think it should be "Wherever Your Heart Goes"
Wherever your heart goes, I will be there, I will follow
it calls to me when it's torn
and I will find it through the storm.
just something that came to me from the music, keep or sweep.
Tammy

"Right now pretty much just hit keys that to me sound right and hope for the best" - TomThat's what we all do Tom - though “sounding right” transforms to more and more possibilities as we develop our technique and knowledge. Keep experimenting with those keys... Best, John

Hey Tom, I think you are underselling yourself. This doesn't sound like a novice piano player to me. You definately are hitting the right keys. BTW, when I add keys to my songs, the process usually goes something like this: 1. Google how to play a D (or whatever chord I know I am playing on guitar) on piano ... 2. Hit the keys as shown on the google image I have found ... and then 3. Google the next chord I'd say you are doing pretty amazing. I am loving this. Dave

I really enjoyed this Tom. Very soothing, and comforting to me. I am looking forward to the lyrics.

Hi Tom:
This has tons of possibilities. I agree with what John Schick said... and I sure enjoyed this creation. It does deserve a good lyric... and you may consider using the title that matches the finished song best... whenever that occurs. Best of luck with this one. ----Dave

This is just one beautiful melody that just needs smoothing out and down on the velocity. Absolutely lovely composition a dear friend of mine said good music always takes you there and this took me to oh so many places and faces. Thank you. Gerry

Travis, Dave, Dave and Gerry,
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I know it still needs some work, as Gerry said, some smoothing out. I finally have a lyric that will work. I'll post again when finished. Thanks again guys!

This sounds really great, I hope this gets lyrics to accompany it in the near future. Really enjoyed this, and you sound like a great piano player. Good luck with this!
