It is interesting. I read it mainly to try and figure out who he is. Ricki

I remember him (but not his music really). Interesting read.

He was the guy who had one hit and at the time was telling everyone how incredible he was and that he was the second coming of Elvis, The Beatles the Rolling Stones, and would be around forever. I think he wrote his biography at that time too. Might have been included with his greatest hit. I mean "ONLY HIT."

I'm glad he didn't die at 27, but otherwise, he was just another one-hit wonder who I have never heard of. Sounds like his hit paid off back then. I think today's one hit wonder could be living under a bridge tomorrow.

Always thought "Wishing Well" was one of the better hit singles from the 80s. Great vocal on it.

It was not a bad song. It just wasn't followed up by three or four hits off of that album, a half dozen awards, a second album with three or four hits off of that one, being on every television and radio show of the day, on every magazine cover, etc. He was not on any of that. So he had ONE SONG. The thing that killed him, was the same as "THE KNACK", OASIS and hundreds of other artists, duos, groups, etc. that had one hit, and then dissapeared only AFTER telling every interview how great they were AND how lame everyone else in the business was.
You have to view people in five and ten year terms, not just what they do on one song. Nowadays, we have people writing their BIOGRAPHIES at 17 years old when they have had one medium level hit.
Best to get a lot of hits, before you tell everyone how great you are. If you are really great, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT. They already know.

Thanks, Donna:
I needed that, LOL! No wonder my "Autobiography" rushed off the shelves so quickly... into the dumpsters!
Like Jim, I never heard his one hit... or of him. Small world... too much information and too little time.
All the best, ----Dave

Hey Donna, I get the gist of the story and vaguely remember the song. I read most of the article but had to click out toward the end. It sure could have used a good copy editor like yourself. I have to agree with MAB. It sounds like he had an ego problem and maybe killed himself.
