ok...so I did a search and couldn't find this on the website so I guess I never posted this here....weird though because I wrote this with Willie McCulloch...AKA "One Eyed Willie" on these boards..a long time ago... well...If I remember correctly...Willie sent me a rough of the tune with the hook and I filled in the blanks lyrically....I enlisted the help of my online pal David Kempers (first chair violin Cleveland symphony...first chair Mannheim Steamroller and first chair Trans Siberian Orchestra.....along with several platinum record performances for the likes of REM and Charlie Daniels...just to name two...he in turn enlisted the help of his friend Heidi on Cello.....recently I remixed this and added pan flute..... not sure if it adds to it but, if any of you have ever heard this...it is one of the tunes that I am most proud of....Americana...Civil War tunage..... here it is... Right or Wrong...it's on Sound Cloud

Joe,
A terrific listen!
Good write. Super nice instrumentation.
Nice vocals and harmonies. I think they need to come up about 2 dB.
Enjoyed this.

Right or Wrong A special song!! A great story song and I am also glad you posted the lyrics since some of the words didn't come across clearly in the sing. The prosody is perfect!! The melody was made to order. Commendable!!! Best, Lynn

Joro--
This song is absolutely beautiful and top of the heap!
After listening a few times, I'm really impressed!
Could be the theme song of a high class movie on my 55" Samsung!
Write and play on You-all!

Very nice!
Good performance and recording, and at times the vocals really shine. The instrumentals are quite good. It has the right vibe for Americana.
The mix is very good but the violins were a bit prominent throughout for my tastes; more ebb and flow would have been nice. Since you had such a pro violinist, I am curious as to why you didn't have them do a fiddle solo. A key change with a nice violin solo would have been awesome.
Outstanding overall.
Peace, TC

Joro,
I loved this as well, would make a great cinema sound track! I don't normally like this much repetition with lyrics, but it works here as the melody is powerful enough throughout so not to get tired of the hook or expression--nice write here!

Hi joro,
Great song and really good vocal performance, though I think you could have put it even stronger on top. I love the full arrangement, which never feels too busy. It breathes real nicely, and I like how you make the solo an easy Dust-In-the-Wind-like melody, but then exchange/hocket/echo the melody between instruments, which shows that you have a real flair for composition and arranging.

Wonderful composition. It gave me goosebumps. a tight, poignant lyric, gorgeous music & instrumentation, and heartfelt, gritty vocals.
Definitely soundtrack material.

I want to thank everyone for commenting..... I also want to give credit where credit is due... Willie is the composer and I only helped with the arrangement by getting David and Heidi to play.....they wrote their own parts..... The only thing I did musically was the Pan flute....Willie is the real engineer of this piece musiclly I am merely the lyricist..........
It would be real cool to see this as part of a soundtrack but that will probably never happen... Thanks again everyone Joe
