Remember all those great Country duets... Conway & Loretta. George & Tammy. Kenny & Dolly. Donny & Marie??? Janice Merritt (of Janice & Bud) joins me for this... [color:#3333FF]MIDDLE GROUND i drive an old gmc, that suits me just fine i'd just as soon wear this worn out pair of wrangler's all the time he calls me a "society girl" i like living in my champagne world so we strike a balance between her world and mine we compromise for a kiss find love on middle ground like night and day, we meet halfway and our world slows down we might not always see eye-to-eye but we're heart-to-heart 'til the day we die sharing the love we found on middle ground somedays it seems we can't agree at all i'm a honky tonk guy, she gets invited to the annual govenors ball i've got shoes for every occassion he's of the one-pair-of-boots persuasion but when it comes to love, it's a mutual fall we compromise for a kiss find love on middle ground like night and day, we meet halfway and our world slows down we might not always see eye-to-eye but we're heart-to-heart 'til the day we die sharing the love we found on middle ground BIG THANKS, J&B!!!! Hope you enjoy it. Comments welcome. Have at it. floyd

Floyd/Janice, I really enjoyed listening in. I can hear this on the radio now also. My only suggestion would be maybe try bringing up Janice's vocals a little as she seemed overpowered at times. Thanks for sharing, Have a great weekend, Skip

Good song, good performance, good production and great harmonies. Can't be bad. A fine duet performance, Floyd and Janice. Take a bow, you two.

A good country song folks and a nice duet reminded me a little of the 70s country sounds which isn't a criticism at all. Best of luck with it Travis

Hiya Floyd and Janice,
With "we might not always see eye-to-eye but we're heart-to-heart 'til the day we die" won me over and I am listening a fifth time cuz there's so much here to enjoy.
"Middle ground" as a title concept needs a tone not too heavy, but not too light either, and you got it just right. A little playful and a lot sincere..and with some great lines, like "..it's a mutual fall."
Mike

This was one of the favorites I've heard from you. I agree with Mike, that line "we might not always see eye-to-eye but we're heart-to-hear till the day we die" is killer. I thought there was a nice balance between the male and female vocals, and I liked the solo as well. Really cool stuff, thoroughly enjoyed the listen.

Real good job you two! Great production, vox and lyric. Very enjoyable.
Maybe a little reverb on the drums to bring them back a bit more into the mix. Just my two cents worth... What can two cents get ? Ha... All the best you guys, doug
