Hello! I am trying to get 50/90 songs out and this one is a collaboration with a very fun lyric written by Elizabeth Petty. I did all of the music, sing, recorded and mixed it. I did a Baritone Uke track, a Banjolele track and believe it or not, I did a small TROMBONE track in the bridge...and I've never played a trombone in my life... It is meant to be fun and sweet, couldn't peg a genre for it... (I've taken on a stage name of Tammy Jann, so when you see that, it is still tamsnumber4 for my songwriting friends, but the new fans I don't trust as much as you guys!! LOL!) Anyway, thoughts are welcome.... Do You Do Honey Dew on SoundCloud Do You Do Honey Dew by Elizabeth Petty and Tammy Jann © 2015 VERSE 1 Went to Farmer's Market for veggies and fruits like arugula, eggplant leeks and tuber roots.. Apples, beans, squash, carrots, heirloom peas, red ripe tomatoes, sweet honey from bees... But at the melon stand I could not decide given the choices which one I should buy I picked some up Even smelled a few And that's when he said... "Do you like honey dew?" CHORUS Oh, yeah, he said.. "Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you honey? Do you do Do you do Do you do Honey dew... Sweet Honey Dew" VERSE 2 He asked me again I said "I think so" He said, "Then try some 'Cuz I, I need to know" He cut me a slice Held it to my lips Watched me eat it His hands on his hips I gave him a smile As I nodded yes Juice dripping down I was a sticky mess He laughed at me And leaned closer in Winked, wiped my chin And asked again... CHORUS Oh, yeah, he said.. "Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you honey? Do you do Do you do Do you do Honey dew... Sweet Honey Dew" BRIDGE Well that was well over ten years ago And since that time I've come to know How to grow honey dew so grand As sweet as my love from the melon stand CHORUS Oh, yeah, he said.. "Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you do honey dew, do ya? Do you honey? Do you do Do you do Do you do Honey dew... Sweet Honey Dew Sweet Honey Dew"

Tammy Jann -- now you have a new identity and disguise too?? Ha, ha great stuff here.
(from 50/90) banjolele -- sounds super cool and I thought that was the baritone ukulele. I couldn't wait for the trombone part, ha, ha -- that was cool (very "economical", but cool).
Mighty fine lyrics, great story, and your choice of music was spot on. Mighty fine playing and super-duper singing -- really excellent.

Thanks Kevin! I started doing open mics and didn't want folks to have access to free music, only what I want them to hear so that I can have them buy a cd and was having trouble getting hit on by men...sigh... so I have a new website ( www.tammyjann.com) and have taken control of that situation... Glad you liked the song, Liz liked it too...always makes me nervous how folks hear what you did with their idea...LOL!! Thanks for stopping by! I'll try to catch up with you on 50/90, this performing and practicing takes time away from FAWM..but I did FAWMSTOCK, that was fun!!!

I think the open mics, live performance and such should take precedence over 50/90. Yes they can co-exist, but it is tough to be writing all new stuff and really practice your "live" songs so you have them ready for a performance. You are doing great! Congrats on the fawmstock stuff, I think I saw a video of you doing benjo's song somewhere.

Now that was a lot of fun. Cooly arranged, played and sung. You've got a fertile mind to crank this out Nice!!! J&B

Simply brilliant Tammy. I hear the strength of your vocals especially in the chorus and the harmonies are killer., as is the overall arrangement.
watch out world, Tammy Jann is 'bout to put it on ya.
You just keep getting better. I don't mean just your voice, is getting better, I mean as an artist... the complete pack. writing, arranging, performing, singing.
Keep up the excellent work.

Hi Tammy,
The reverb (ugh..why does no "spell check" in existence know that "reverb" is a word?) --the reverb adds depth to your recording, but I'd personally prefer a tad less on your voice, at least for this song--but (small nit cuz) I really love this. Your voice reeks of confidence and is eating this up. I love how the chorus goes to an unexpected key, and really love how your voice modulates on "do ya" --and oh yeah, the trombone sounded great!
Mike
